Take 'em or leave 'em... Mostly the latter.

Rock n Roll, 50's 60's & 70's Country, Australian Country, Bluegrass, Cajun. All time favorites... Buddy Holly, Duane Eddy, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry, Waylon Jennings, Jean Shepard, Wanda Jackson, Hank Snow, Hank Williams Jr, Slim Dusty, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and the Seldom Scene.

British mysteries... Clare Curzon, M.C. Beaton, Peter Turnbull, Rhys Bowen, Elizabeth George and anyone else who can tell a good story with a twist in the tail.

Greens and Blues

Roast Lamb with mint sauce and all of the trimmings. Jelly Donuts... Hey! I am Canadian!

OCTOBER 11, 2008

All friends and visitors who read this, Have yourself a Super Saturday and a Wonderful Weekend... Happy Thanksgiving to All Canadians... Take Care My Friends. And enjoy your day whatever you have planned.

Welcome to the Seahawk's Nest. Your visit is very much appreciated and you are invited to drop in anytime... Time, unfortunately, does not always allow me to acknowledge visitors individually, but if you do leave a comment, I will make every effort to stop by your page and say Hi and thank you.

If I am not seen flying around the Hill and you are concerned about my wellbeing, FlipCathy will be my contact person here on the Hill.

Born and raised in England. Before taking early retirement after working 25 years as a steward on the ferries out of Dover to Calais, I Moved to Canada in 1999 after marrying a Canadian. Divorced in 2007, but now in a good and happy relationship. I became a Canadian citizen in 2005. I was born British, but now I am Canadian by choice. I have no children of my own, but I feel truly blessed to have been adopted as a grandpa by three wonderful kids. I enjoy the little pleasures that each new day brings and thank the Lord for giving me the day to enjoy them.

I consider everyone on the Hill to be my friend. Sadly, I do not have as much time as I would like to spend on the Hill, I will accept Friends Requests, but time may only allow me to make contact with you by way of Bulletins and infrequent visits.

Considerate people. Living in a small town where it's not unusual to see deer walking down the middle of the main street. Cats... I have two and a couple of wannabes... Live theatre and home town sports. Making some noise for the hometown boys.

People who drive while talking on a cell phone. Ham, spinach and squash.

Cooking... creating a fusion of Asian and Mediterranean tastes in stir frys and stews and taking baby steps in baking. Reading. Computer jigsaw puzzles. Volunteer work...

stopped by to admire your deer pictures again. When we lived on the farm we would put corn at the edge of our patio and sit and watch the deer come in and feed.

My husband found a newborn fawn once..the mother died birthing it.  We had her for the entire day until some people with a rescuse farm came and got her.  6 wks later we went to visit and she put her front feet in my lap and wouldnt stop kissing me..the lady said I was the first mother she had and she remembered my.. It was awesome.
