I love fruits of all kinds....Pizza, Mexican food. I just don't eat alot of meat. I like Cherry Chocolate Chip Icecream (Edy's), Strawberry Rhubarb Pie and my Mom's meatloaf. I also love to experience my son's cooking when he comes home to visit......HE'S A CHEF. However, the grocery bill is out of sight, since everything is made from scratch and has to be fresh. He makes the best crab cakes!!! Another favorite food. NOW I'M HUNGRY!!!

Hmmmm, now let me see how far back I can go...
I LOVE THE LORD JESUS!
I was born and raised in the town I currently live in. However, I lived away from here for about 17 1/2 years before returning here in mid 2000. My first husband, our 2 children and I moved to Virginia in the early 80's. I really didn't want to move away from my family, but my place was with my husband. So off we went. What a beautiful state Virginia is!!! But, remember when I said "first husband"? Well, I guess after 13 1/2 years of being married to me, he decided he wanted someone different. During the 8 1/2 years after the divorce, I worked in the Hospitality Industry, primarily for a Sheraton. doing payroll. That was when it was still manually done, ugh... except for the printing of the checks. That was done by another company. Then of course they all had to be checked and signed. Fortunately, pay day was every 2 weeks and with close to 300 on the payroll and all those time cards, well, you get the picture. Then in late 1993, I had a "duh" moment and married for the 2nd time. After about 2 years of wedded bliss (?), we re-located to Arizona, where his family lived. He decided to go back to truck driving, so was always gone. I was always missing my family it seemed. In 2000, he decided to become considerate, enough to get us moved back here to Illinois. (Have i lost you yet?) The fact that he was a truck driver would allow him to find work anywhere. So we were moving yet again. I was so happy to be back here where my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends were!!! Then, after another 13 1/2 years of being married a 2nd time, he decided to just not return home one day. He's out there somewhere, I just don't know where and obviously, now, don't care.
ON THE BRIGHTER SIDE.........
I am blessed with 2 grown children. My daughter, Angie, is 34 and has given me the greatest gift, a grandson, Daniel. Daniel is 11 and is in the 6th grade. My daughter, Angie, is a property manager. They live here in town too. A BLESSING!! My son, Jamie, and his wife, Emily, live in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a Chef and works at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Resort. I stay busy taking care of my home and the yard and then doing what I can to help my parents. (I just recently lost my Dad, but can't seem to remove the words "parents" or "Dad" from this "about me" stuff) I feel very blessed to still have both my Mom and Dad with me. I am the oldest of 3 children.....having a sister and a brother.
I enjoy being around people, but also enjoy my home and the quiet time. Ahhh, peace and harmony. I GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR ALL THE BLESSINGS IN MY LIFE. I have learned that Blessings can and do come from Sorrow!
My Father was born on 6/14/1929 and went to be with the Lord 6/8/2008
I'm blowing kisses to Heaven for you, Dad....Till we meet again.
God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be
So He Closed His arms around you
And whispered "come to me"
You didn't deserve what you went through
So He took you home to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
For He only takes the best
