I love fruits of all kinds....Pizza, Mexican food. I just don't eat alot of meat. I like Cherry Chocolate Chip Icecream (Edy's), Strawberry Rhubarb Pie and my Mom's meatloaf. I also love to experience my son's cooking when he comes home to visit......HE'S A CHEF. However, the grocery bill is out of sight, since everything is made from scratch and has to be fresh. He makes the best crab cakes!!! Another favorite food. NOW I'M HUNGRY!!!
Remember the tea kettle is always up to its neck in hot water, yet it still sings.~

Hmmmm, now let me see how far back I can go...
I LOVE THE LORD JESUS!
I was born and raised in the town I currently live in. However, I lived away from here for about 17 1/2 years before returning here in mid 2000. My first husband, our 2 children and I moved to Virginia in the early 80's. I really didn't want to move away from my family, but my place was with my husband. So off we went. What a beautiful state Virginia is!!! But, remember when I said "first husband"? Well, I guess after 13 1/2 years of being married to me, he decided he wanted someone different. During the 8 1/2 years after the divorce, I worked in the Hospitality Industry, primarily for a Sheraton. doing payroll. That was when it was still manually done, ugh... except for the printing of the checks. That was done by another company. Then of course they all had to be checked and signed. Fortunately, pay day was every 2 weeks and with close to 300 on the payroll and all those time cards, well, you get the picture. Then in late 1993, I had a "duh" moment and married for the 2nd time. After about 2 years of wedded bliss (?), we re-located to Arizona, where his family lived. He decided to go back to truck driving, so was always gone. I was always missing my family it seemed. In 2000, he decided to become considerate, enough to get us moved back here to Illinois. (Have i lost you yet?) The fact that he was a truck driver would allow him to find work anywhere. So we were moving yet again. I was so happy to be back here where my parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends were!!! Then, after another 13 1/2 years of being married a 2nd time, he decided to just not return home one day. He's out there somewhere, I just don't know where and obviously, now, don't care. UPDATE 11/08.......He has moved back to Arizona and is living with his mom and still driving a truck.
ON THE BRIGHTER SIDE.........
I am blessed with 2 grown children. My daughter, Angie, is 36 years old and is a property manager. She has given me the greatest gift, a grandson, Daniel. He is such a JOY AND TRULY A BLESSING IN MY LIFE!! He is 13 and is in the 8th grade. They will soon be moving to a farm in Iowa. My son, Jamie...he's 33, and his wife, Emily, relocated (temporarily) to National Harbor, Maryland. He is a Chef and works at the Gaylord National Hotel. He attended and graduated from the San Francisco Culinary Academy. I have 2 female cats....(both seniors). Their names are Bitsie (white short haired Persian) and Winnie (a gray long haired stinker). I stay busy taking care of my home and the yard and then doing what I can to help my Mom. My Dad passed away June 8th, 2008, and I miss him so very much. He was truly a wonderful and wise Father with so much love for his family. I am the oldest of 3 children.....having a sister and a brother. My sister and her family live here in town. My brother and his family have just recently relocated to Maryland.
I enjoy being around people, but also enjoy my home and the quiet time. Ahhh, peace and harmony. I GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD FOR ALL THE BLESSINGS IN MY LIFE. I have learned that Blessings can and do come from Sorrow!

I LOVE SPENDING TIME WITH MY FAMILY....ESPECIALLY MY GRANDSON, Daniel. He is 13 and THE JOY OF MY LIFE! (the only grandchild)
I like working in my yard and with the flowers. Watching and feeding the squirrels is fun too. I have a little girl squirrel that will take peanuts and apples from my hand....she's a cutie! I enjoy sitting on my deck in the early morning, drinking my coffee and listening to the birds sing. They are so trusting, never knowing where they are going to sleep or what they are going to eat and yet they are always singing.
