I lived in Glenfield, NY for the first 18 years of my life, then moved to Phoenix,NY until 1997 when I moved to SC. From 1990-2003 I homeschooled my two daughters which was a challenge but the greatest blessing in the world to have that much time with my girls.

I love a beautiful sunrise and a cozy evening curled under a blanket cross stitching.
It has been so wonderful being on the hill and making new friends.
My daughters and grandsons are the biggest joy in my life.

I love to cross stitch and crochet

Also read and do surveys on the internet, which I get paid to do. If anyone is interested just let me know!

G'day, Matey! A sunny, steamy, scorcher again today. I am enjoying the produce of summer...eating watermelon every day. Cools me down and tastes so refreshing. Keep cool and enjoy the day whatever your weather. After I get some cleaning done, I intend to crochet away the rest of the day! Rhonda, I'm glad you didn't have to see a dr about your mud dabber sting. Those darn things are so nasty. Sounds like you had quite a serious reaction. Your grandbabies are growing up too fast. Chandler will be a senior in high school when school starts back. It kills me. Aren't you glad they are getting older but we aren't? LOL

This pup looks comfy taking a nap in his wheelbarrow. He wouldn't be comfortable HERE today doing that, however. More of the same....hot, humid, hazy. Oh, and let's not forget suffocating, stifling, and stuffy. Thankful all I need to do outside later is water my thirsty potted plants on the porches and steps. I've got supper in the crock pot, so no oven today. How is your day going and how is the weather at your house? I think most of us are melting, aren't we? After all, it IS July! Keep cool and enjoy the day. Rhonda, even though you are a summer person, I bet even YOU are melting in this humidity. Hasn't it been horrid? I took Maddy outside on the deck to brush her (both our dogs are shedding like it's their job) and when I finished, she made a beeline for the doggie door and hurried inside. I was right behind her. Though I opted to actually open the door and not crawl through it as she did.

It's a toasty summer afternoon at my house. A refreshing, fruity drink sounds so good. And I LOVE fresh pineapple. How's your Monday going? Did you have a great weekend? My weekend was wonderful and my week is off to a good start so all is well in Darci-land. If I behave and am very quiet, may I stow away in your suitcase to HI? When do you leave and return? I know storms have wreaked havoc on so many and I'm sorry you lost power. It's been wild, hasn't it?

I hope you are enjoying a splendid Sunday and doing a whole lot of nothing so to rest up for the week ahead, Rhonda. I've been playing in the dirt. We found a set of old washtubs on sale for 50% off at our local antique shop and, since I've been wanting some for planting purposes for years, we couldn't pass them up. After bringing home the tubs, a trip to Lowe's was in order for potting soil and plants. I opted for perennials; blanket flower and ice plant. Will share a photo in my gallery later. Have a great rest of the day, whatever you are doing.

Sunday smiles~

Darci
