Victoria, capital of British Columbia, sits on the craggy southern end of Vancouver Island. With abundant parkland, it’s known for outdoor activities. With a perfect growing climate, Victoria is known internationally as the City of Gardens.

Victoria is a small city of some 350,000, located on the south tip of Vancouver Island and the capital of British Columbia. It features a bustling inner harbour nestled in the Salish Sea, overlooked by majestic mountains. Victoria is known as the city of flowers.

In the busy harbour, sailboats and tour boats come and go as ducks and harbour seals play in their wake, kayakers and canoeists poke into coves and marinas, and floatplanes take flight off the water.

Hatley Castle is on the grounds of Hatley Park and Royal Roads University in Victoria, Vancouver Island, BC
The Castle was completed in 1908. From 1941 until 1943, the Castle served as dormitory and mess hall for cadets and staff officers at Royal Roads Military College. It is now the administrative centre of Royal Roads University.

Sea lions, unlike the ubiquitous Harbour Seal of the coast, are able to move about on land using their four flippers. They are further distinguished by their longer necks and external ears. Sea lions gather at “haul-outs”, where the two species loaf side-by-side.
They are sometimes seen on the rocks beside the ferry route through Active Pass, and at Race Rocks near Victoria, among many other suitable rocky islets.

All portraits in my gallery were done by James using only French Stubs not pencil.

I dislike loud and crude people, injustice of any kind, argumentative people - ( The only fool bigger than the person who knows it all is the person who argues with him ) ~~ unkind words and deeds - cruelty to children and animals.

I love to play the cello, collecting old postcards, some bird watching - Listening to music - I am an Avon representative

Hello Moe,
it's a chilly 39* here today so we're not going outside today just staying inside where it's warm getting housework done We've got Bar-b-que pork cooking in the crock-pot for supper and with it we're going to have french fries and while we're waiting for supper to be ready we'll watch some TV and tinker around on the computers and after we finish eating we'll take our showers and after we dry off we'll go upstairs and go into the bedroom and we'll watch TV until after we watch the 6:00 news and when the news goes off we'll go on the computers and we'll play our games for awhile and when we're finished on the computers we'll shut them down then go back into the bedroom and watch TV until after we watch the 10:00 news then we'll shut down the TV and take our night pills then go to bed. That's all for now hope to hear from you soon Hugs, Robert & Ceil

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.

Have a wonderful day Mrs. Moe.   Have a lovely spent time with your family..  Mikey.
