BLOGS: A blog, simply put, is something you have written, or written about.

We have a forum you can post pictures, recipes or jokes you want to share; these are not considered blogs and will be removed. On the other hand, for example, a recipe with a story about a recipe that has special meaning would be fine. Greetings to others, thank you's, etc. are not considered blogs and will be removed.

The Angels Come to Visit Us
Posted On 03/07/2013 21:23:53 by Thundercloud
“The golden moments in the stream of live rush past us, and we see nothing but sand; the angels come to visit us, and we only know them when they are gone” ~ George EliotToday I did something I try very hard never to do – I glanced over my shoulder and looked at the road behind me. I don’t like to do this because when what’s behind me is better that what’s ahead of me, it only makes me feel worse. I suppose we all get to a point in our lives when that’s true; the road ahead becomes... Read More

A week before that she had been alert enough to say she loved us and said Good-bye. We all left around 8:00 am. but planned to go back later that afternoon. At 10:00 a.... Read More

I'm as snug as a bug in a rug this morning as I watch the snow storm from my window. We had plans for today, but the weather announcements are strongly suggesting that unless we have an emergency, we should stay off the roads. Being that we are 'country folk', and to go anywhere we need to do a bit of travelling, we will heed the warning. This too will pass!

As I have been listening to music, reading email messages, knitting, and wandering around The Hill, I remembered a video from the Mo... Read More

Getting older and Losing Friends
Posted On 03/02/2013 23:53:12 by Margaretmonteleone
I certainly do not mean to bring anyone down but I have to get this out or I will cry all night. This past year (actually almost two years) has been, well...less than good. My life changed drastically, but probably for the better; no, definitely for the better, but that is not why I am here tonight. I graduated high school in 1966.  In this past year, I have lost so many of my classmates that it is staggering.  Just two days ago, I received a message from the son of a girl (see? ... Read More
