Q - It Was Quite a Trip
Posted On 09/25/2015 21:24:08 by yourchoice
We had long talked about venturing north in British Columbia to see some new country. I did know that a friend from my junior and senior High School lived in Quesnel, but hadn’t heard from her for years. We decided to head north, hoping we would be able to track down her and her husband, but if we weren’t successful, it should be an interesting trip.
We had the map of B.C. (paper in nature), and stopped at anything that look interesting along the way. We learned that we would travel on t... Read More

If you have visited my page in the past, you will have learned that I love to share our travel experiences, and call them “Armchair Travels”. It is what my father loved to do, sharing his travels with other residents in his Seniors' Apartment complex. Here is a “short form” of an Armchair Travels from me. Warning: some of the links are longer than a few minutes. We had never been to London before we learned that my husband had relatives in various locations in England. His father had immi... I - Irresistible IHOP
Posted On 08/26/2015 00:24:59 by yourchoice
We have done a lot of travelling, visiting family or experiencing the adventure of new destinations. For years, my favorite dining place has been the International House of Pancakes, better known as IHOP. No matter where we find that restaurant, we know that the food is consistently fresh and delicious. The salads are fresh, the meals are like "down-home"! But I have to admit that my favorite meal, no matter the time of day, is breakfast. The variety of waffles, French toast, pancakes, cre... Read More

H - Happy Happenings in Halifax
Posted On 08/24/2015 11:16:24 by yourchoice
When friends of ours invited us to come to Halifax to see the Tall Ships, we had  no idea what we would be in for. We knew what a tall ship was but why would they be coming to Halifax? No matter; it would be a great opportunity to visit our friends who had been transferred Alberta to Halifax. We quickly made arrangements and off we went.We learned that the city was taking the opportunity to do business public relations events during the visit of the tall ships, sending invitations to variou... My new 'ARMCHAIR TRAVELS' segment...
Posted On 06/04/2015 12:19:13 by yourchoice
I'm finally here... after another wonderful road trip. When we arrived home on Tuesday, we had no telephone landline service and no Internet. Ugh! Hubby had the name of subcontractor with the phone company who had been doing work out here, so contacted him to find out what happened to our "high-speed" service. He couldn't understand what happened because he installed a new piece of cable by our house a week ago and all was working well. He couldn't come out to check until Wednesday morning, but...
