It's already 84 today Deb with plenty of sunshine and summer doesn't start for 50 more days. The AC is already on again after having the heat on a few days ago. Crazy weather - maybe it'll stay on a constant basis now. Had a very late nite at dominos - 2 am - as the other couple had someone come over to fix their computer and a printer issue. He was there for 1 1/2 hr so it put us way behind. But it was still a fun time and I lost big time - got stuck with a couple of big hands. Having a meeting tontie - installation of officers in both the men and the auxillary and we'll have somethign to eat afterwards. I was elected as Guard. My weekend is so full as it started off with Friday nite at the post till midnite, then there was a regional meeting at another post - they had supper of pork chops, mashed taters, green beans, deviled eggs roll and desert and tea. Not the greatest but we ate it as we alread paid for it. So you can see we are very busy mostly with post business. Enjoy your day and evening. Hugs, Wendy
Saturday is here and our rain chances seem to have gone away until Sunday night. Today Hubby is taking another shot at getting the new drive belt on the riding lawn mower.
The belt replacement on the mower deck was completed yesterday, but the drive belt has been a challenge even after many youtube videos. Please say a prayer!
I thought I would share a picture of the front of our home. I replaced some of the solar lights that were old. The cross and the light on it makes this one of my favorite pictures.
This is one of my newest additions to put up in the backyard. A solar hot air balloon wind spinner. Yes I have many different balloon wind spinners. Anyway, I guess I had better go check on Hubby and get a few things done today.
The Lord has blessed us again. Our septic alarm went off at 4 pm yesterday and we called for them to come out this morning to check it. It only cost us a service call to repair a wire (not a new pump $$$).
Now we are getting on with our projects... which may include music and reading! So here is wishing a beautiful weekend for you and your family!
Hey Deb - how ya doing and how was your weekend? Hope you had a nice time and that the weather was nice also. Ours wa in the 80's the last several days and same tomorrow but will drop 20 degrees when the rain moves in. Hope your Monday was better than this.
About 3:30 am I woke to a vibrating dog who does NOT like thunder and lightning! It is one of my favorite things! The Rain Angel left us with 1-1/2" of blessed rain. Oh how my plants are singing praises today!
So as we say goodbye to April showers, we say hello to May flowers! (Thanks Anne for the graphic) Blessings from above! And an added bonus of a cool front. We are in the 60's today and should start Taco Tuesday in the upper 40's.
For this last week of April whether it is filled with cold or hot or dry or wet just add smiles and enjoy it.
Happy Earth Day! My seeds are soft but haven't sprouted yet. I did get some pots ready to put them in and got another bunch of pots out of the storage building.
Even with high winds, spring flowers are blooming. Hydrangeas, Gardinas, BlueBonnets, Triple Iris, and Roses. And so many, many more... Hummingbirds are loving it!
So I am sending you Blessings and Hugs for the weekend ahead with our windows closed and air conditioner running as I am off to smile even if it is just at the Hummers!
Another chilly start to the day but things are changing. This week we will be in the mid to upper 80's and winds of 30mph with gusts for the rest of the week.
Now as someone who took Algebra, Trig, etc. a million years ago and as someone who still loves to work with numbers (excel) even today, I don't get the new stuff. How about you?
By sharing your smile, you can be a blessing and help someone else who might be dealing with troubles.
