Just a note to say good evening and hope you had a good day. It was beautiful here - in the 70's and sunny all day long. Went to the center and made bunnies for the craft - one male and one female - dressed them up and decorated them. So cute. Came home and decorated the house with some spring things and put away some snowmen that were left out. Think I'm behind a little? Went out to dinner with our Thursday nite group to a habachi place - love seeing the guy perform all his stuff and the good food. After we got home for about a half hour we got a huge thunderstorm that even had hail with it. Up in Norfolk and Virginia Beach they though it was a strong possibility of tornados. They were even forcasting it an hour or so before it came to our area and for people to take cover. Have a good Friday - can't remember if you are working or not - but enjoy. I need to get my humming bird feeders out - hope I can remember. Hugs, Wendy
Good Morning to you. I've already been out and about this morning as I wanted to get the things I needed at Dollar General before the wind got up. Its going to be a awful windy day here today. It was windy yesterday too. Got my laundry going and dealing with allergies this morning from the wind. Been coughing and sneezing. No fun. Well enjoy your day my friend and take care. Cheryl
Hi, my friend, I don't believe how long since I have been here on The Hill. Thank you so much for the sweetest comments... I really appreciate them all. Well,... I have been busy with work around the house and the aches and pains of getting older; and preventing me from getting work done. I have avoided the "Virus", don't go anywhere to stay safe. But, I am getting into doing crafts again. Won't be going back to craft shows just yet, so will be selling on line; again, to stay safe from the "Virus". Winter has been gone from N. H., not that we got much of one at all this year. I'm getting ready to start the container veggie garden for 2022. Daily rain coming up, so I'll start the day after Easter.
Hopefully, now that I am fully retired, I wil be here more often. I have always done my own cooking, but the same old same old. So, I have been getting into cooking new & different recipies/foods. Well, I need to get back to work here; there is enough at my house and property to keep me working full time for several years. It's that old addage "The cobler's kids always end up going barefoot." Just got back last night from being out of town since Sunday. We had to travel out of town to attend a funeral for a relative and just got back last night. So I'm back here seeing how everyone is doing and hope you are having a good week. We have another funeral to go to this Friday but its here in town. Makes for a hard week. One on Monday and then one on Friday. I'm doing good just doing the laundry. Got one load in the washer and one load in the dryer and another load waiting to be done. I am a morning person, am usually up, before the sun, and LOVE watching the changing of the colors, as the sun moves over the horizon. That moment, as the sun lights up the tips of the highest trees, and moves down the branches, just makes my day. I do, at times, catch the sunset, as well, and there are some spectacular sunsets...

I stay up late Pam - early moring hours is when I hit the rack, but I sleep late so I'll never see the sun rise but I love looking at the moon and look for it every nite that it's showing and all the stars. Went to PT for the first time and felt so much better after it wa done, I went shopping at WalMart and walked the whole store like a normal person. Of coure by the time I got home, put eveythig away and made dinner, it hurts again. Like the therapist said, I need to rest more inbetween chores. Dinner was cabbage and kielbasa - so good - haven't made it in about a year. We were supposed to get rain, but as yet it hasn't come. But the day was just perrfect except the sun playing hide and seek with the clouds. Have a good nite. Hugs, Wendy
Just caught the end of lightning about 1 am after the storms had passed. Early news last night reported one area that already had 12" of rain.
Our rain, downpour, lasted about an hour and we got 2". Last night we had our usual stream in the backyard. But this morning there wasn't even a puddle. We have been dry and are grateful for the rain. I love that it soaked right in.
I am a morning person and a night person. I love watching the sun come up every morning and listening for the "crack" of dawn, hurrying out to catch the colors that appear and disappear quickly. But I also love late night, watching the moon move overhead, feeling the cool breeze, and seeing millions of stars in the sky. What about you?
