Good morning. Another Monday and we are ready to roll. Good day yesterday. Sunny but not too hot, except if you stood in the sun overdressed. Got out and about on the bike for a while. Right now, 49* heading to 75*. Today nothing is planned. Maybe, just maybe, in about two hours from this typing, I may make my way to the store for some orange juice. Game time decision. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Sunday is here and I am so excited! Our adopted family is planning a 2 hour one way trip to see us today. We already have plans for most of the day.
Can you see the smile on my face? My cheeks already hurt. Even though Wendy and I spent an hour on FaceTime Friday morning, she on her porch and me on the patio at each of our homes, it just isn't the same!
This has always happened to us when they are here, the soul retreat! Since they moved to the other side of the metroplex, we just don't visit in person as much.
Amazing how it makes us appreciate the little things even though we have never taken our time together for granted. Well, maybe when they lived 10 minutes from us!
We are all 5 blessed when they come for a visit and when they leave. I pray you have a Blessed Sunday as well.
Day's brilliance is losing the fight, and must bow to the dark force of the night. But night versus day is a zero sum game, for the hours add up to the same. Four and twenty are all that there is.
Happy Sunday. Starting with 54* going for 74*. Nothing planned but I tend to do things spur of the year. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Saturday, casualness except for the pressure of church later in the day. Catholicism is a difficult life. Outside of that, nothing planned. Have a good 11 hours. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Greetings on this the Ides. Whenever writing of the Ides, I always think of Flavia Julia Helena Augusta, especially after celebrating the relic yesterday. Not too much planned for today. I did get a bike ride in earlier this morning after the walk. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Good morning. Cool out in the backyard this morning. No snow nor volcanoes erupting in the yard though so I am calling it a successful start to the day. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet! Postscript: I considered yesterday's homily disjointed but that could have just been this listener.
I am getting everything ready for work tomorrow. We had a trace of rain just before daylight and another trace of rain mid afternoon. It might have totaled 1/10" but it kept our temperatures in the low to mid 80's today. I'll try to post a bulletin before I leave in the morning!
Let's start this middle of the week off right! Coffee and a wonderful view!
I am hoping with the cooler weather and possibility of rain, that some of my almost dead plants will start to bloom again.
The cooler temperatures do make for a more beautiful sunrise. A few days ago, I looked up and it was brilliant outside but by the time I got there with my camera, the colors had faded some.
It has been a very long time since we have seen a misty morning. However, in Texas we gladly look forward to every drop of moisture.
Anyway, I hope you have a Blessed Wednesday and enjoy the rest of this week. I will be working on Thursday! Thank you for your friendship! Fategrandma
Good morning. A little cool this morning, about 50*, maybe a couple of degrees cooler in the backyard. This almost makes me want to turn the furnace on but that would be a form of surrender. Nothing happening today, maybe some church. Game time decision. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Tuesday cuteness! Saw this cute graphic and thought it looks so much like the new puppy my friends in Lubbock just picked up Saturday.
Meet Rosie! They have been waiting about a year for the conception and birth. Then they got to pick the one of 6, 3 boys & 3 girls, that they wanted.
Nicole and Michelle came over with my son, Wayne, and DIL, Evelyn, on Saturday afternoon. They all 4 get their haircuts in FATE.
Wayne and I sat outside on the patio filming the 15-20 hummingbirds in the backyard. We loved watching them fly with their tail spread out and the males red throats in the sunshine. These two are females.
This Hummingbird is showing off his tail feathers. You can see the white at the bottom of each one.
There are 3 hummingbirds in this picture. One you can almost see the red throat. When the sun hits them just right, the red is brilliant. Counting my blessings one by one.
