Thursday always produces a smile because the weekend is in sight. This is the last day of August. Are you ready for a new month? I will be working tomorrow to start September off right.
We have survived the last six weeks of heat and we hope to say goodbye to it along with the month of August.
We are ready to welcome a new month, a new season and new colors into our lives.
I am ready for flowers to be blooming again but first we need rain and lots of it.
The Blue Super Moon has been beautiful the last 3 nights and I do love taking pictures of it.
I am ready and waiting with my camera phone charged. Miracles happen after a good thunder and lightning show with lots of rain.
Good morning. Bright Blue Moon this morning. It is so bright I almost have to close the drapes/curtains. 54* this morning. Almost cold. Cut the walk down to 2 miles hoping to alleviate the aches and pains in the back. This could be a problem if I were to become an astronaut and go to Mars. My only agenda for today is church and even that is open to discussion. I hope the woman who saw me running out of the church yesterday with the plants is not there. I hated to bogart both plants but could not help myself. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Barbie, I pray YOU have a TRANSFORMATIONALLY THIRSTY THURSDAY, and have had a TANTILLIZING WEEK, my friend...
Wednesday is the new Friday; oh wait, that is supposed to be Thursday is the new Friday. I am grateful for each day that comes our way.
I have had such fun with the hummingbirds lately. Because of the heat, the lack of rain and flowers not blooming a lot, they are protecting the feeders.
They have really been showing off a lot and their colors are bright in the sunshine. Have you ever touched a hummingbird?
I have a tall plant on the patio about 3' from the feeders and they have begun to sit there to protect the feeder from other hummingbirds.
One afternoon when I went out to check to see how much food was in the feeder, a hummingbird zoomed in to sit on the plant and was about 15" from me. In the sunshine his throat was a bright yellow!
He looked at me eye to eye and when he realized I was standing there, you should have seen how fast he flew away. But looking at him so close, his throat was the most beautiful red. It is amazing all the colors that their throat will turn in different light. What a blessing to be so close even without a phone camera.
