Here we are again, Monday. What shall we do this week? Water the yard and the plants again every day in front one day and in back the next day.
I can see out the window two of the hummingbird feeders. I see hummingbirds drinking and chasing each other around. Oh maybe I will go sit and watch them this morning.
But the sun is already shining too bright and the heat is already too hot to sit for very long even on the patio. Where is that North wind to cool us off?
So the next best thing is to find a dark and quiet spot to read a good book.
I think a steaming cup of coffee would be the best way to start this Monday off right.
Then find a steamy good book to read and the week is off on the right foot.
And hope the yard can make it one more day. I'll just give thanks for the beautiful sky above it.

I had such delicious strawberries this past spring. My plants look like they won't ever come back after this summer's high temperatures.
I just got this in an email, can you believe that we used more AC last year? Well, we did turn the thermostat warmer a couple of degrees. However, my water bill that just came was triple or more this year than last year.
However, after the summer we have had, we will be grateful for the lower temperatures and rain when it comes.
Good morning. Happy Sunday. I am having coffee this morning for the first time in 1000 years. It is 57° out and we are only expecting a high of 76°. This is a recess from the heat. I am expecting 90° weather to return this next week, later in the week. Nothing like we had though. I believe what made it so horrible is the dew points, which I do not understand. However, one of my neighbors who likes to get into minutia has to inform me about minor things. The only thing I care about is whether I am comfortable or not. In either case, not much on the agenda for today. I have cut my walking down to a little over 2 miles, however this morning I had to expand the mileage to go over and get some bananas. It's another Saturday nite and the last one in August. I wanted to go out shopping today but I didn't. Hopefully I'll go tomorrow. Our friends are camping so we have the day to ourselves. Have a peaceful nite. Hugs, Wendy
