Just finished the 2nd book in the Three Rivers Ranch Romance Box set of 3 by Liz Isaacson. Miss Kitty Wells, our Papillon, got groomed today and the other 3 got their nails trimmed.
So you would think that everyone was all dressed up and ready to go out. Guess what?!? They are all taking a nap. Sometimes this is the most exciting place to be... or not.
I guess that is what happens after a delicious meal. OK, I sort of cooked. I made pancakes and pan sausage for our meal of the day around 12:30. Don't laugh and don't look so shocked!
For the past week, every time we have seen an iHop commercial, we have talked about how they don't taste as good there as the ad makes them look on TV. Well, mine tasted better than iHop!
You are such a good friend. I really appreciate you not laughing out loud at me even with my new haircut.
Another Friday is already here. I did finally get a haircut yesterday from a new stylist. She took her time and it felt like I was being pampered.
So here I am trying to see what you have been up to this week as the month of August comes to a close. I know that next month the temperatures should cool slightly in Texas and I am ready. We are also going to spray for mosquitos because when I go out in the early evening to water, I get lots of bites.
Guess which fairy looks most like me. Hint, there is no gray hair showing on my head at the moment. OK, guess which fairy I think of as looking most like me. Where did the years go?
So now I am going to wish you a Blessed weekend and ask that you remember to share your smile with everyone you encounter.
We have another beautiful day. Should be only 99 and normally we don't hit 100 after about this date.
I made hummingbird food yesterday. Today I have to bring in the feeders to clean and refill them. Don't want the hummingbirds to think there is no more food as the feeders are almost completely empty.
I will soon have a crop of butterflies. This caterpillar only feeds on the Passion Vine plant. Here is what it will look like.
I also have bumblebees that are hungry. This one looks like it hasn't missed a meal in a long time.
Yes, my yard is a zoo with birds of all kinds and sizes, hummingbirds of several varieties, butterflies of different colors that are hard to video, squirrels, frogs, crayfish, wasps, flies, grasshoppers, ants, fire ants, mosquitos, caterpillars, and lots of other hungry critters.
And the weather will start to cool off a bit in the next 3 months or so, hehehe! But you are always invited to come over and sit on the patio and watch all the activity. However, I do have quite a few (ok, a whole bunch) of bites on my legs and arms from mosquitos.
