We made it to Friday! The first week of August is already gone. And we were at 68 this morning where we are usually at 83 to start mornings in August.
Now I know that we are headed for warmer starting temperatures and highs near 100, but Thank You Lord for today! The question is why am I in here instead of outside?
So did you laugh? Or did you at least smile? OK! My job is done and I am onto the next project for today.
I've already been in the computer room for over 2 hours. Where does time go? What have I gotten done? OK, three of the four dogs did sneak out of the yard as Hubby is working on rebuilding a gate with new fence pickets. Dogs are all back in and hole is secured for now we hope!
Here is the before picture. Now it may be a day or two before the project is complete and I can get an after picture. At least I have been seeing my hummingbirds lately. Yesterday evening I got a video of one around the Turk's Cap red flowers. Late evening I saw them at two of the feeders from inside the house. And earlier this morning I saw two of them challenging each other.
Enjoy today hopefully with nicer temperatures. I know our heat is coming back for the weekend and next week. But think, just another 3 months and fall will be upon us. Enjoy the summer season because winter isn't a favorite of many either.
We had to run to town today to Ace Hardware for some bolts. Hubby is replacing fence pickets on a gate he built 15 or more years ago. So naturally we stopped on the way home for TACOS. Now that our grazing is over, it is on to other things.
Did you say it was August? We started at 69 this morning and are only at 84 now. Yes, we will be near 100 this Saturday and Sunday but for August today is unthinkable weather as you can tell by my expression!
Tomorrow I get to drive in traffic to take Hubby to get Laser surgery on his left eye. We are hoping it will clear up some of his blurry vision. Dallas traffic is always a flip of the coin as to how long it takes to get there.
So I will send you Blessings and Hugs for now and be back soon. Share that smile and I will share mine.
