TGIF. I really did get several things done today, trash & recycle have been picked up, both of us have showered, I watered plants (already mid 80's) and hubby trimmed a tree with new pole saw.
I just have to share... My granddaughter, Nicole, is an 8th grader, she plays volleyball. Thursday, her team beat the other team 25-0. One girl on her team served the entire game. Have you ever heard of that? We are so proud of the team she is on this year. They won the weekend tournament a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I am so proud of her and winning 25-0 is something she will always have to remember.
Then, the first person I met on the Hill was Cricket in 2008. She passed away many years ago and is still having a "Woo Hoo" party with Jesus every day. But she sent me a cutting of the Angel Trumpet plant in her front yard.
And so every time the one I have blooms, I know she is watching out for me.
So now I am off and running to share my smile with everyone I see. And yes, we are going to be near record setting temperatures of low 90's.
The driver of the employer's truck will be happier this week than last week. I assume you manned the living room on your own last night with the employer's truck making money for the employer.
Good morning. Happy Friday. Starting today at 32° Fahrenheit. Frost on the cars. I looked for a reason not to go for my walk this morning and I was able to force myself out of bed and out of the house. It is a mental thing. For the first half mile I was looking for a reason to turn around and go back into my house. But after that first half mile, it did not seem to bother me too much. I should say until the last half mile. Then it seemed like the cold air was getting to my lips and my mouth if I kept it open too long. I had to limit my conversation to a minimum to keep the cold air out of my mouth. In a couple of months, this will seem tropical, comparatively speaking. I managed to get to Best Buy and one of the grocery stores yesterday. I'm not planning on going anywhere today except for maybe a constitutional around the neighborhood. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
It was 80 here and sunny. Was an all day on the phone all afternoon checking on payoffs and setting up automatic withdrawls for other things. Really tiresome! Made Sheppard's pie for dinner at honey's request - was good. Page is looking good. Have a good evening. Hugs, Wendy
Got sunshine? I do. A gorgeous Thursday here, even if it is a bit warmer than an October day could feel. Dave went to pick up our grocery order and, while he was gone, I did the vacuuming and made some iced tea. Now to see what the rest of the day brings! How is your day? Let's enjoy ourselves, whatever we may be doing.
Good morning. Happy Thursday. This used to be a day I would call PAYDAY. Eventually it was not the actual handing over of a check but the paperwork of an electronic transfer. It ruined the moment. The actual transfer came earlier in the week but this was the recorded paperwork handed to this writer. It is 51° and the high for today is going to be only 53°. It also was misting the entire time of my exercise this morning. I'm not complaining as I was expecting rain. It shall make it a lot easier to stay in the house today with the high temperature being 53°. Perhaps a constitutional around the neighborhood later in the day. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
