When my cactus blooms at Christmas, it is a Christmas cactus. When it blooms at Easter, it is an Easter cactus. And yes, mine usually blooms at Christmas and Easter and even at odd times throughout the year.
Now back to laundry, lunch and various other "fun" chores. Just grateful I can do them even if it takes longer than it use to for me. Now where is that fairy?
My girls, the animal whisperer and the track star, are on spring break vacation this week. Wayne called earlier today but we couldn't FaceTime when he called. Hopefully I will get pictures of the Florida beach soon. Even though we have beautiful sunshine today and they have rain.
I told you we were keeping the granddogs. So here is the cocker/poodle, Cami, and the 3 pound ruler of all dogs, Lily, aka "the little shit". She loves biting at ankles and keeping guard at the doggy door to NOT let anyone back inside.
I also told you spring flowers are popping up and here is proof. The beautiful sunshine and right at 70 degree weather will surely bring out more soon. I did notice that some of the rose bushes were putting out new growth from the bottom. Sure hope you are off to a tremendous week.
A beautiful Monday day to you. I don't know why but I am thinking of pussywillows on this special day as one starts the week. Enjoying the memories of past days when the children were at home and they would bring back from the woods pussywillows for the family to enjoy during the first part of spring. Treasured memories!
I am busy doing the daily household duties off and on and think I need to have another cup of coffee and or tea to enjoy my day even more.Smiles Gloria

My girls are on Spring Break this week. So the family came by and dropped off our granddogs, Cami and Lily. Now we have 6 dogs living here. They are headed to Pensacola, Florida.
We were cloudy, overcast and drizzled most of the day. We still have clouds east of Dallas but west of Dallas is blue sky and the sun is shining bright! So we watched the Longhorns win another baseball game against South Carolina. I sure like that we have a couple more hours before it begins to get dark. Yesterday afternoon I changed all 16 of my manual clocks. Today I am replacing the rechargeable batteries in all 12 of my candles. They are set to come on every evening near dark and stay on for 6 hours.
I still am playing catch up at home from my 3 days of working. My computer room/office desk looks like a bomb went off. Good news however, our neighbor is gone on spring break too and we get to collect eggs all week. Woo Hoo! Sure hope you have a wonderful week ahead and share your smile with others!
I am so excited about Spring and moving all 18 of my clocks forward an hour. I love getting up before daylight and watching the sun rise (usually taking a picture of it). Isn't it amazing how we go from such cold temperatures and snow to horrid blowing winds and gray overcast skies to spring flowers popping up everywhere. I had a great time at work the past 3 days. But I sure missed you.
This morning I was on a zoom call with Faith Community Health. My friend is a Chaplain with Baylor Scott & White Hospital and she was hosting the call to teach us about calling on people who are home bound to cheer them up and check on them. I am excited to see if others want to do this too as it is all over the United States and Canada. And I already have a few people in mind to recommend that could benefit from having someone check on them. The training video that I did this morning is on the second Saturday of each month.
Then I went outside to help hubby cut back some of the plants in the yard. I will get pictures soon. But now I need to fix our meal of the day, whatever that will be, shower, and get ready for Longhorn baseball. We beat South Carolina who WAS undefeated last night. Hook 'em Horns!
May you have a pleasant Saturday day doing whatever you would like to do as you share your smile and enjoy your day the best you can and I will do the same up north. Smiles Gloria
If you didn't start out the day with a smile, it's not too late to start practicing for tomorrow. ~Author unknown
