I thought it would be fun to see what others had for a first car.
Now mine I was driving my older brothers car a 53 Plymouth with a 3 speed trasmission on the steering column. My luck though, I wrecked it on day of the night I was to have the lead comedy roll in the High School Junior play. But amazingly I got a ride into town had my hair done and was on stage that night I wasn't hurt at all, can't say the same for the car. In fact for so many reason I could have been Killed. I remember praying as the car was rolling over"God be with me" He sure was the worst I got some stickers in my clothes. The door flung open I had my seat belt on and an old radio that was on the floor flung off and could have hit me in the head it weighted about 50 lbs. If my head hadn't been back looking at the top
of the car praying as I was going over it could have killed me. But as it was all things worked fine. I acted in the play and even went to the cast party afterwards.
But the real first car I had was a 1958 Chevy Biscayne Green and light green. But was that a cool car and I didn't wreck it. Loved that car. I was 16 at the time of the accident and also when I got the 58 Chevy. This was in 1966 So now if you would like to share what was your first car???
Good weekend to you and hope it's a good one for you. Just sitting back and taking it easy in this hot weather here. Wishing you a great new week. Take care my friend.....George
Its a hot Friday afternoon here. Its 95 and feels like 97. I can sure do without the humidity. I'm busy with the laundry and I have dishes to do but waiting for the chicken to get done in the oven before I do all my dishes. I'm making chicken tenders wrapped in turkey bacon and rolled in brown sugar. It is really good. The smell is making me hungry. Well have a good afternoon and stay cool. Take care, Cheryl
Where oh where did this week go? And in just 10 more days the month will be over! What the heck have I been doing all month and what did I get accomplished?
All I really know is that I have NOT missed a meal. OK, the other thing I know is that the hot temperatures are back! Our dew point has been 76-79 all week. Who was it that said our humidity probably isn't as bad here (DFW) as it is where they live?
Let the weekend begin. Tell me, do you have plans? My plans are to survive all this stuff going on right now. So the party is at our house. Come on over. But don't forget to bring your smile.
Good morning Mary Kay sorry that I took so long to answer but we've been busy doing yard work and cleaning the house and getting ready to start our canning sometime next month after we go to the Farmer's market Hugs,Robert & Ceil
Enjoying another beautiful morning. I would love to be at the beach right now. Soft sand, rolling waves and endless sunshine. What's not to love? Enjoy your day and stay cool! Hugs, Nancy
Good Afternoon my friend. I hope you are doing well. I'm feeling okay. Just tired from our trip to Amarillo, Texas yesterday. Its about a 3 hour drive there. Husband a a checkup with his diabetic doctor yesterday. It went good. It takes us longer to get there than the appointment takes. I'm getting my laundry going right now. Thats about all I'm doing today. A nap is in order for today also. Its a warm and cloudy day here today. Its 84 but feels like 88. Don't care for that humdity. Have a great afternoon my friend and take care. Cheryl
