There's an empty spot by my side and it's as big as the universe. This has been a sorrow-filled week for me. My precious dog Molly passed away last weekend. She was 14 years old.  She was a Shih-tzu poodle mix and only 9 lbs.  Because of her tiny size she fit perfectly in  any tight spot she wanted to squeeze in to. Mostly that spot was by my side, day and night.   I'm forever grateful, for her loyalty, her devotion to me and her friendship.   I've never had a pet love me the way she did.  I am humbled and grateful.  Each day the grief is becoming easier to bear.   My prayer was that she would not suffer at the end and I don't believe she did.   Our pets give us so much more than we give them and dogs are man's best friend, in the truest sense of the word.   I am so thankful for the years I had with her.  ♥

Dear Beth.

So sorry to hear of the passing of a beloved friend.  For that surely is what she was. I lost my dear, sweet Pepper about three years ago and still miss her so much. She wa a youthful twelve-played like a puppy. She never once growled or barked at a child. I now have a little dachound mixed I call Peanut.  Poor thing is probably confused with scrambled marbles from me often calling him Pepper and referring to peanut as Her.  He is a male and Pepper female. ha Wonder if peanut is gender confused?   By the way, Before her, There was my special fur baby named Molly.  She was a little minature poodle who died at only four.  I know the grief of dogs but my life wouldn't be complete without them.  P.S   As a young lady, I had a dog that was hit by a car.  I was crying and my boyfriend at that time said, "It was just a dog."  Guess who got his walking papers that night?  I share your grief.
