We went to our Veteran's Day services today at the post and it was a really good ceremony with several different speakers. The weather kept alot of folks aways which is too bad as the weather really wasn't bad at all - jut rained off and on. We had a good turnout though. Something I ate there didn't agree with me and my stomach is upset. We had planned to go to Applebee's for a free dinner for Rich but there was no way I felt like eating. Did eat some leftover Chinese food and I souldn't have eaten that as I didn't feel good after eating that. I took a nap when I got home as I was up early this morning and didn't get to sleep till around 3 or later. So I'm tired but will get my second wind. Hope you've had a good day. do you have any plans for the weekend Cheryl? Just playing dominoes for us on Sunday. Have a good one. Hugs, Wendy
“The valor and courage of our young women and men in the armed services are a shining example to all of the world, and we owe them and their families our deepest respect
Happy Veterans Day to everyone on the service. Thank you for always protecting the country and the people.
Are you sick? I sure hope you aren't. If you are take care and hope you get well soon. Its a very cold day here today. Only in the 30's. And the wind chill makes it even colder. We have a chance for snow on Monday. Not ready for that. Well take care my friend and many hugs to you, Cheryl
Hi Cheryl: still running back and forth to Hosp.
Hug, Anne
Just heavy duty nosebleeds which need care and attention from a doc.
Good afternoon my friend. Its a lovely Fall Day here today. Its 61* and just a light breeze. Got all my housework done and just getting on here to send comments. We have lots of leaves in the yard. Makes it crunchy to walk in the yard. Do you have any leaves in your yard? Take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Many hugs, Cheryl
Our trees here are just about all bare now. I have raked a bit here and there. We rake or blow them to the curb then the trucks take them away. We don't even have to bag them and that's okay by me lol. Boy this week is going fast. Hope you have a great Thursday :)
Hi Cheryl - how was your day? Hope you had a good one. The only thing I did besides clean the bathroom and sweep the floor and even the garage, I ent for a hair cut and got it cut really short. My hair was past my shoulders so of course I hate it now but will like it in a couple f weeks - maybe!! We had Chinese for dinner and have enough left over for lunch. No plans for tomrrow - hopw your day will be bright and cherry. Hugs, Wendy
This is what I wish I was doing on my day off. I spent 2 hours coloring my hair and 3 hours shopping for groceries and wandering around Costco. My paycheck for the whole week is gone.
I think this leaf belongs to you. It blew in my yard. Oh, and I have a bunch of limbs that you can pick up while you are here.
My goodness all this putting up groceries has made me thirsty. Now just a few more things to get done and maybe I can find that book I started reading this weekend.
Hey Cheryl - There are two trees in the front yare, but their leaves are small and Rich mows them up when he mows the yard. Today would have been a good day to do that as it was 61 out - quite a change from the 80 degree day we had. But it's supposed to be like this as it is Fall. All I did today was some vacuuming, laundry nd make phone calls for the auxillary. Was gonna make dinner but Rich was out and said he'd pick up some Chinese food from down the street, but they were closed when I tried to call. Then I remember all the Chinese places are closed on Tuesdays - that's weird. So he got subs from the place next door but they weren't that good - never again. Our group dinner on Thursday was moved to Sat. afternoon at the Outer Banks - all the area is knows for seafood and we had a good dinner. Sunday we didn't think we were gonna play dominos as our friends were camping, but they came home early and said the game was on - so we didn't get to watch a lot of football - only one game and we didn't care about either team. Hope your weekend and the last couple of days wer good. TTYL, hugs, Wendy
Live in a second floor apartment, Cheryl, so no leaves. But I have trees all around which do their own thing and I don't have to rake leaves but can enjoy watching them fluttering all around.
One of many trees my son, Wayne, trimmed on Sunday. Didn't he do a beautiful job?
Pole saw, chainsaw on a pole, and lots of sore bodies by the time this was finished.
Piles and piles of cutting all over the back yard. We got the front yard picked up before Rbt and I pooped out completely.
Besides the fact that the trailer was full to overflowing "again" after Wayne jumped on it to get it down and no place to put the cutting from the back yard until it gets unloaded.
Now that is what Fall is all about to me! We had 500 acres full of beautiful White Tailed deer and it was the best time of the year. Our freezer was full of meat to last all year long. Now it is slim pickens.
The weekend is almost over. Time to start thinking about the week ahead and work to be done. We are trying to finish trimming a few trees to keep the squirrels off the roof. What do you have planned?
