Hi Grace - how was your weeknd? Hope it was a nice time. We had a nice week and a good weekend. It was a beautiful fall day here and I sat out on the porch enjoying the day and talking on the phone! Honey came home and made dinner as my back was hurtiing and vacuuming didn't help. Feel better now after a motrin . Our friends are going to a convention on Thursday and they are dropping off their 3 dogs so we can watch them while they are gone for several days. This will be a first for us. Since they never been outside of their home before, I hope the will adjust soon and will eat. Their one dog is over 2 years old and has been known to have seizures and is half blind. I am so proud of my beautiful granddaughter and her Quinceañera pictures! I took over 70 pictures on Saturday, mostly of them getting ready. So funny and stressful at the same time. The photographer was awesome and I can't wait to see her pictures as I took a couple of ones after she set them up.
I sat on the patio for a little bit yesterday as the storms went around us and watched the six or so hummingbirds going from feeder to tree to flowers as the wind shifted to cooler temperatures out of the north. We are in the upper 80's this week instead of upper 90's.
Does that mean Fall is here in Texas? Probably not yet or for very long but I will "chance one eye"! Praying for all of Florida and all the people in the path of Ian. Thanks for sharing in my joy and being my friend!
Good Morning! Now you knew I had to do Orange Hummingbirds, didn't you. They are all so very different and yet beautiful. We get to go see Nicole take her Quinceañera pictures today. She didn't want the party! Also hope to see all the pictures from Israel and the story behind each picture.

Hope you don't have a poopy day! We are going to tie a record of 99° as our "feel like" temperatures have been over 100° all week. First day of Fall is when??? Oh, TODAY!
Today just sounds like a good day to read. Do you have a cat that will cuddle up with you while you read? I don't but I bet there will be a dog in my lap.
Several things could improve on all this. Oh, don't worry, coffee is already in hand, probably an empty coffee cup or already refilled. But RAIN on the other hand is something we are again praying for in Texas. There is none in the 10 day forecast either, just mid 90's.
All I can say is while I do have 3 book shelves full of books (mostly read), the 5,982 items in my Kindle don't take up as much room. Yes, I can't resist a good free book. So for now
What are you doing this beautiful Sunday? Do you like to fish? When we had our 500 acres, we had a beautiful pond with catfish and bass. I love to fish in a pond!
But if fishing just isn't your thing, come on over and let's just sit and chill for a while. I am sure we can solve some of the problems surrounding us. There is always a bench nearby where we can sit and share our friendship. Blessings and Hugs are always shared too! The door is always open...
