Been watching Bush Sr lying in state at Capitol. the 5 military guards from all the services stand for 30 minutes then are changed..very solemn & impressive..they walk in slow motion. Parents brought their children in and explained to them in whispers what it was. you could see the wide eyed kids taking it all in.Wonder if they'll remember the experience years later? I took my boys many times to Arlington Cemetery to see guards at Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and they do remember that...Thurs is funeral svc at Ntl Cathedral in DC then Houston Texas burial at Bush library.
Snowing lightly here all day and another storm expected by Friday.. hope it stays south of us
I had a good Sunday I have my granddaughter here for a few days and she has been a great help getting the tree finished and helping with the outside decorations. We had been having fun. Hugs Connie I hope you have a great day Tuesday.
