Good Caturday Morning to you! I am peeking in to see what you are doing today! I am watering, imagine that!
The plants are so wilted that there are very few blooms to even smell. We have been 104°-107° with heat indexes above 115°. We no longer have a green yard; it is yellow and the grass is almost dead.
It is best just to stay inside with the air conditioner and just glance outside through the window. Then pull the shades down again.
Don't open the window! The heat will come in and no telling who else! Maybe some nosey neighbor.
Have you seen that new guy with the blue eyes that moved into our neighborhood last week? I think his name is Gus!
I heard him call me a peeping tom just yesterday! Can you imagine? Doesn't he know who he is talking to?
Today was a blur. Had a very bad nite so didn't get but a couple hous sleep and my feet felt like fire. Finally got up at 8 and stayed up till 10. Checked to see if I took my pills and I didn't. Took them asap - no wonder my feet were that bad. Went back to bed at 10 and slept till 3. Woke up much better. So nothing great was done today but I did change the bed and warmed up some chicken brocolli alfredo and the tomato salad. We got a short downpour that was welcomed by all the plants and flowers. There were lots of dark clouds all afternoon and then cleard up nice and bright after it rained. Friday is on it's way and then the weekend. Have you any plans Rose? It'll be the sme for us - out on Friday nite, rest and house work on Sat. and game nite Sunday. Havee yourself a good time. Hugs, Wendy
Here we go, ready or not, Thursday is here. I work Friday, Monday and Tuesday. I will then be home full time starting Wednesday. Do you have plans to go anywhere or do anything fun?
I think I would enjoy a train ride through the rocky mountains but not sure I would trust most of the train tracks of today.
Now a nice quiet boat ride would be fun but I am not interested in running the rapids any time soon.
I do like water, but I am not a swimmer per say. I like fishing from the bank better than from a boat. I love sitting on a bank and listening to the sounds.
And few people love a good rain with thunder and lightning more than I do. Please Lord, let it rain soon all over the state of Texas. We need blessings!
Sunday sure came fast. After I watered the plants yesterday morning, we sat on the patio for a while. I got videos of a male hummingbird, a female hummingbird, monarch butterflies, a female cardinal drinking out of a bird bath, a male cardinal drinking out of the saucer under one of the plants and saw several other hummingbirds that were in the tree waiting for us to leave so they could come drink.
Now it is time to get ready for my last long week. I might be off on Thursday but it will be a busy week. I am getting excited but I know how much I will miss Kelly and all her wonderful clients.
So we will be sailing off into the sunset to a new adventure. On Wednesday, the 16th, I will not HAVE to wake up around 5 am. I don't ever set an alarm but I am always up early enough to get done what I need to do that morning before work.
Even though I have finished a couple of WONDERFUL Christian books lately, I have added many more books to my Kindle app on my iphone. I love getting free books every day and just can't not download them.
Thanks for hangin' in there with me and being such a treasured friend. My posts will be in the bulletins for a bit longer. But I always look forward to hearing from you and the pictures you share.
