I have lost track of time. I think it was Sunday when we mowed the yard and we got the 3' tall area where the standing water finally dried up. Then on Monday we trimmed the 2 Vitex trees and had 3 BIG wheelbarrow loads of limbs that we dumped in the carport to cut up later.
We also cut about 10 big limbs off a tree in the front side and left them there because a cool front was due to blow in.
It was an extremely hot humid day and we were tired and sore too. So today we got the limbs cut up as we had to bundle our bulk in 3x3x3' with twine and call to have it picked up on our trash day. We don't have bulk pick up, per say, as they send another truck for that and we are limited to only 4 bundles. We have 10 bundles today.
As the cool front came through, we had a BIG gust of wind that blew the big gate Hubby made years ago inside out.
It busted out the wood that part of the latch was attached to and we had to repair that. It also blew over one of my 4 cement birdbaths. Just knocked the top upside down on the ground. Friends lost roof shingles, we haven't even checked that yet. Now, for the College World Baseball Series update. Sunday evening my Longhorns lost. Today they won. So we will play again on Thursday evening. And just in case I haven't shared enough pictures yet, I'll leave you with one more. My yard at night!
We went to the car show this morning and yes, it was quite warm. But there were lots of beauties, old and newer. The time it takes to build and keep them shining takes pure dedication. After that we stopped to visit a friend that lived in the area. After that I took Hubby home before I headed to WalMart to pick up a few groceries and some craft things to build my hummingbird bird bath.
After all, Saturday is Bath Day! Have you had your bath today? After looking at cars we had melted down and looked like we had just finished our bath. Starting today there are 2 college baseball games a day for the World Series. So I am headed off to watch TV.
A good day and weekend to you my dear friend. We try to stay in the air condition as much as possible as the temps are a steady hot. Sit out on the porch where the shade is to enjoy fresh air and a breeze. Take care and spread your smile.....George
Well, are you getting ready for the weekend? Are you ready to relax? Will you be working in the yard? Or is it just another day? Today is the day the Lord has blessed us with for sure!
Whatever your plans are and wherever the Lord leads you, I hope you laugh and share your smile with everyone. After all, laughter is the best medicine! I have been crossing off things on my "to do" list today but have a few more to go.
So I am sending Blessings and Hugs and Kisses too! Enjoy your day and I hope you get everything checked off all your lists today and find some time to relax and play!
I hope it is a mystical, magical Wednesday for you and me! Who knows what the day will bring. I've already been to Rockwall to get gas in my car (lines were not too long at Costco unlike yesterday afternoon) and Braums for milk (they are a local business out of Oklahoma that only has stores within a certain radius that the trucks can deliver daily). We buy A2 Milk from them as they have the only certified A2 herd in the U.S. "Google" A2 milk. It works great for people that are lactose intolerant or at least it makes a big difference for me as far as not making mucus.
Yesterday I did a zoom call and it was a virtual tour of Pompei, Italy with a great tour guide. They are still discovering things buried in the volcanic ash. This is the third tour as we have already been to Venice and Barcelona. Hubby and I also met a friend for lunch. Diann and I exchanged things we had for each other. I had bought her some vitamins she couldn't find, NAC that she paid me for, and she gave me some cuttings from Airplane plant, Hoya, and Chocolate mint. The airplane and hoya that I had originally shared with her died in our freeze this year. So now I am off to pot plants and watch the hummingbirds because I have already made food, cleaned feeders and refilled feeders today.
I am working on making several different hummingbird fountain birdbaths. I will put the links to a couple that I think we can build. Robbie has a BUNCH of awesome videos to make these!

Besides, no telling who I need to share a smile with today!
A new baby was born at the Fort Worth zoo. The herd grew by 6'2". What a wonderful day Monday was! It was fun to celebrate Kay's birthday with friends and to visit. Then after watering most of my plants (you heard me right, water plants) because the extreme heat had them hanging their heads and after I sweat down completely, I came in and called my dear friend in Canada, Gloria.
As you can tell, we played on our Alexa Echo Show, on Messenger Video and on Zoom. I was showing her the different backgrounds I have in Zoom to use. Then it was time for the last Super Regional baseball game. Now the 8 teams are going to Omaha and playoffs for the #1 Champion of 2021 begin on June 19th.
In memory of my first friend, Cricket, on "the hill" who loved dolphins and has been having a Woo Hoo party with Jesus for many years now, I will send you Blessings & Hugs!
A busy start to the week for me. I have to pick up some birthday pizza for lunch with friends today. Tomorrow is a later lunch with a different friend because of a morning zoom tour to Pompei.
Last night was another late night but the good news is my Longhorns are going to the College World series in Omaha for the 37th time.
We got our yard mowed and trimmed; however the "feel like" temperature was 108. So now I'm off and running but...
to you today and every day. I have to go share my smile with everyone I encounter today and hope you will too.
Good day to you and wishing a great new week for you. Plenty warm here but it's the time of year for it. Take care and spread your smile and a kind word to others.
