Good afternoon my friend. Its cooler here today 82* but the humidity is high and we have had a few rain showers. Don't care for the humidity but will definitely take the rain. We need more than just a few sprinkles. Yesterday was just another hot day here. We didn't have any water since the city was working on the water tower in town. So I didn't get any housework done because of that. They finally got that turned back on around 9:30 last night. To late to do any housework then so I'm getting everything caught up today. Just have everything done but the clothes in the dryer will need folded and put away when it gets done. Enough of my chit chat for now. Take care. Hugs, Cheryl

My this week is flying by as I am enjoying my moments doing this and that  during these summer days. Hope your days are being ever so nice to you as you do your daily duties.  Another cool day  bring fall into my mind .  Found the other day pumpkin jam. Now that sounds interesting  for I so do like apple butter jam. Just might give it a try.  In the mean time  I do believe I need to fill up my coffee cup with some toasted coconut flavored coffee .  Smiles  Gloria

Do you think coffee is additive?  I love making it because the smell of ground coffee is to me the best part.  

I do know that if you drink too much coffee, tea, soda, or anything with caffeine in it when you quit you will have a massive headache.  Looks like the person who posted that already knows that.  hehehe

It was 92 today and we got another rain - this time a thunderstorm.  Stayed inside except for a short time this afternoon when I picked a few weeds.  Was inside all the rest of the day doing nothing but being on the phone trying to get my neice and her family a vacation in Fla.  She was supposed to call me back after she talked to her hubby, but it doesn't look like she's gonna do that tonitevand I don't want to bug her by calling tomorrow.  So how was your Wednesday Cheryl?  I'm sure you were hotter than we were!  Have a good nite and a good Thursday.

The lawn  had its hair cut yesterday and for today  is laundry and dusting day. 

We are at 62 for the temp this morning and just might get to 70. Loving these cooler days while it lasts.  Have a glorious day what ever  you plan to do.  For me my plan is to  get my household duties done and then sit back and have another cup of one of many  favorite flavored coffees I enjoy, while finding another piece to the puzzle.   Smiles   Gloria

We finally got rain today - not alot but I didn't need to go out and water the plants.  Wendt to the movies by myself to see Top Gun 2 - was really good and glad I got to see it as I missed seeing Jurasic Park - the new one.  Rich only likes going to the canteen to drink, by the way he just got home.  I ate left over Pizza from the other nite - was so good still.  There is still a peice left if he wants it.  I think the temps have come down but the humidity is still high.  I folded whites that I washed and dried yesterday and put everythign away - all his underwear.   Stay cool.  Hugs, Wendy

I just started this nice summer bird  puzzle  today  as the  rain is coming down off and on this morning. We are at 67 for the temp at the moment. Now where is my coffee cup?  Nice to have coffee to sip on as one finds pieces to the puzzle. I do believe this will be a  nice lazy day doing this and that.  Hope your Tuesday is being nice to you. Smile... how much is a smile worth?  Depends on if you are on the sharing end or the receiving end, I guess.  

It depends on what you are doing to cause them to smile at you, like smelling the flowers, I really enjoy smelling the flowers.  

Oh!  Busted!  What are you looking at?  Yes, I love taking time to smell the flowers, don't you?  But I do love sharing a smile even more.  

I sure wouldn't be trimming treesbushes sin this heat Cheryl - better you tahn me!  I ran to the stores - one included Dollar Tee - haven't been there since before tey raised the price to $1.25.  got a couple of cards and a few other thngs that I didn't inded to buy - you know how walking around accumlates things.  It was 95 today - might get some rain after midnite - we'll wait and see.  Stay cool and take care.

Music Monday!  Do you like music?  Do you listen to it?  Do you dance?  

I love Oldies and older Country music and we listen to SiriusXM quite a bit.  My girls both like Choir in school.  We used to dance all the time but since Hubby's hip surgeries we do not go dancing anymore.  

But music will always be one of the keys to my heart.  Even though I can't really sing, remember the words or play an instrument.  What do you play?  

I have videos from when my granddaughters were very young playing all sorts of instruments, horns, drums, etc.  Actually, Michelle is now taking virtual guitar lessons from Mexico every week.  

Now, if I can just keep my plants alive, I will be happy.  I need to turn on the music outside and water them.  Monday Blessings to you!  

Such a pretty lily  in my flower garden. Puts a smile on my face seeing all the lilies in the flower bed of many colors that was planted last fall. My goodness saying the world fall we will be heading into August soon.  Really to tell you the truth I am looking forward the fall days.  Hope we are blessed with a long colorful fall season.  Ha, Ha,  I am even wearing today a brown outfit  and have a fall amber orange sweater on for it is 57 for the temp at the moment this morning. Loving these cooler days. In the mean time I'am sipping on a nice cup of coffee.   Have a Glorious Life doing this and that and I will do the same. Smiles  Gloria

Evening Cheryl - didn't do a whole lot today - just cleaned house and made dinner - sauteed cabbage along with a small canned ham - and tomato salad.  Was out till midnite lst nite with friends at the Moose - was a nice time and we even slow danced a little.  Playing dominoes tomorrow nite - just the 4 of us - so it'll be quiet but still will have a nice time.  I dosn't have to cook this week.  Hope you tomatoe plants will make it - they love the sun but maybe not this hot!!  Are you getting any little tomatoes?  Have a quiet evening and a restful Sunday.  Hugs, Wendy

A beautiful day to you.   Just had to share this picture of the bachelor button plants. I use to have them many years back in the flower gardens. A dear friend gave me some seeds  to plant this summer. Looking forward to seeing them once again in the flower garden.  Wonder if there is a poem for the bachelor buttons for they are such a smilie flower .  Think I will look into that thought. I am all dressed up for a trip to town on Saturday.  Are you going anywhere today?  Have any fun plans?  

Since we only have 4 dogs, what do you think about getting a new pet?  I would like to put netting over the back yard and just let it fly free!  

Nothing would be more fun than going dancing this evening.  Do you like to dance?  We love listening to SiriusXM, 50's Gold, Oldies, and of course lots of Classic old Country Music. 

Aren't dreams nice?  I guess I will just play in the garden!  I sure hope I make you happy as I love being a gardener!

July is way more than half over!  July is the month for vacations!  July is usually the perfect month for picnics!  

If you live in Texas in 2022, July is the best month to leave the state.  My DIL and granddaughters have been in Mexico where the days are about 75° and the nights around 55°.  Sadly, they have to come back to our HOT weather because school starts soon.  

I do hope you are enjoying the month of July with dress up and picnics or that you have been on a lovely vacation.  If so. where did you go?  

I feel like all I have done is spin my wheels this month... and watered and watered and watered the plants and the grass.  If you don't hear from me again, it is because my water bill showed up in the mail and I fainted!  

I am sure I will need a day at the beach!  Hey, maybe I can bring some water back with me.  I wonder how much my car can hold.  Any ideas?  OK, my plants probably won't like salt water.  

Maybe a trip to fresh water like Crater Lake.  Can you imagine the cost of gasoline from Oregon to Texas?  I guess I'll just have to pay my water bill.  However, Multnomah Falls is one of my favorite places.
