Good afternoon Wendy.I hope you are having a good one. Its a chilly, but sunny day here. its 45* here. Not much going on here today. I've already takin a nap and got my laundry in the dryer. Well take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your afternoon. Hugs to you, Cheryl
Hello Pal, glad to hear Lulu is better. Maybe she is allergic to fleas like my dog is. I've decided he's allergic to just about everything. If he weren't on Apoquel he would never get any sleep and I wouldn't either as he scratches and chews so much. We had a warm weekend here, didn't go to church yesterday as I still have a cough. I picked up a new RX for antibiotic since the Augmentin was making me so queasy.
On Friday I made a new recipe for a no-bake pumpkin pie. It was quick and easy but not as good as regular baked pie to me. It's 1 8 oz cool whip, 1 can of pumpkin, 1 small box of cheesecake pudding mix and pumpkin pie spice. Then you freeze it for 2 hours. It uses the graham cracker crust.
Have a spooky good week! Talk to you soon. huggies, Beth
You have such a nice Halloween page. Your graphics are such eye grabbers! lol. I've seen several outstanding Halloween pages and yours is one of them. I've always liked this time of year. I waited months for October to get here, then once it arrives, it flies by like a shot (like a dream or something - here, then gone suddenly). There are certain months where I would like to reach out and grab onto them to slow 'em down.
How did your dominos game go? I never played that game before. Is it a card or board game? I was wondering about your hamburger soup - is something like wedding soup? I've had that several times over the years and your hamburger soup reminds me of the wedding soup mixture. The Italian version sounds delicious. You mentioned garlic toast too. Does garlic ever dry your mouth out? I love the taste of garlic, but anytime I eat garlic bread/toast, I've noticed that my mouth becomes very dry. I love the garlic breadsticks they offer at the Olive Garden, but can't over indulge due the effect that garlic has on me.. Hope you enjoy your evening.. *hugs* Darlene
Stopping by to wish you a happy Halloween. Do you get many trick-or-treaters at your house? When we lived in town we use to get a lot of kids, but since we moved 2 miles from town in 2018, no one shows up. I guess we're too far out. It's just as well though since candy has gone up so much in price. One year I thought we had enough candy and ended up running out. Good thing we had some of those packaged lunch crackers to give out at the end. The following year, I spent $80 on candy and ended up not getting as many kids. Oh well, at least there was some left over for me and hubby to eat. lol.. Take Care, Darlene
Good afternoon to you. I'm late getting on here cause we just got home from Oklahoma City 45 minutes ago. I had to get all of our stuff put up from spending the night in Oklahoma City last night as my doctor's appoinment was at 9:15 this morning. I made it for later in the day for the next time so we don't have to spend the night. Yesterday it was 83* and today its 52* and tomorrow its going to be even colder with a chance of freezing rain and Sunday not going to be getting out of the 30's and a chance of frozen mix. Not ready for this kind of weather. It doesn't feel to bad outside right now cause the sun is shining and no clouds. But the wind is going to pick up tonight so that will make it really cold. Well have a nice weekend my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Many hugs, Cheryl
Hello Pal, how's Lulu feeling and what did the vet say? I went to the walk in clinic and saw the male nurse practioner there. He looked like he was about 16. HA!! Anyway he diagnosed an ear infection and a sinus infection, started me on a brief (3 days) course of steroids and Amoxicillin. Feeling better already though still not to normal. No plans here, didn't make plans with the girls today because of being sick. They will have a busy week coming up with family coming in to visit. Their 3 cousins (kids) live in NC and the visit one week in the Summer and the week of Halloween each year. I've got candy ready for all 5 of them and hope they get to come trick or treat before leaving for their usual destination on Halloween, which is a nice neighborhood that encourages trick or treaters in a town nearby. We are entirely rural here and therefore don't get any kids coming by. Hubby spotted a half grown bear cub on the trail cam yesterday. Now I'll have my eye out for the Mama too if I should venture out there. Have a good last weekend of October! I'm emailing you the recipe to your Comcast address. love, Beth
