Welcome to Texas! I wonder how many people moved here, paid way too much for a house, and have nowhere else to go are loving our 109° temperatures with no rain in the near future. I read stories on NextDoor Neighbor all the time about moving companies holding their belongings for more money$$$.
If you live here, I want to know what is for breakfast and what time it is usually ready. Oh, and let me know the address too.
Maybe later in the day, we could swing out over the waves. Now that looks like a lot of fun. Have you ever been in one of those great big swings?
And when the moon comes up, I would love to take a stroll on the beach. That is, unless the mosquitos are as bad there as they are in Texas.
Or we could just sail around in the warm breeze far away from mosquitos. Doesn't that look like fun? Now, back to reality... we start the day in Texas at 82° and at 5:30 in the afternoon in Texas, it is 107°. My garage started at 90° today and was as high as 103° yesterday. Welcome to Texas!
Yesterday I put my knee knockers on and got all ready to run errands in this heat! Bank, Herb Mart, Pack & Post, Rosa's taco Tuesday. You know the usual stuff.
I showered and washed my hair. Do you like my new "do" style? Sure is hard work getting ready to leave the house.
I wasn't even going to work but put on some mascara. Also put on my rings, earrings, and necklace along with my smile of course.
We were only gone a couple of hours and boy, does that heat take a toll on my hair! It was even hard to breathe by the time we got home. All the jewelry came off and after taco salad my tummy was full. Then it was time to read my book.
Even Hubby decided it was too hot to start a project after eating his taco salad and decided to take a nap! Now that Tuesday is over, we have to get dressed again today for the Glaucoma doctor.
Is there any possibility that August will be cooler? We watered plants and then went to Costco, had lunch, and bought groceries. It is just stupid hot!
However, please let me explain. I am NOT in any way wishing for winter. But those of you that like it... enjoy the picture above.
Now if anybody, anywhere has seen the rain, PLEASE send it my way. We are already over 12" below normal and with these hot temperatures our grass is dying and large cracks are appearing in the yard and around the foundations.
Yes, it is July and summertime in the ole town the next 10 days in a row and that is NOT the feel like temperatures. I am having a hard time keeping my plants from wilting. Can you say, "HOT"???
We have had fireworks over our house for 3 nights in a row now. The first two nights were short lived, but last night started at 8 pm as I was watering plants in the back at 95°. At 10 pm we were still 90° and the mosquitos were terrible. Neighbors on both sides of us were shooting off fireworks over our house. Yes, I have videos!
I hope you are celebrating and having a fun day with family and eating delicious food. I will be celebrating on Tuesday and Wednesday by working so I will check in when I have a minute or two.
I will also be wearing my new Red, White, and Blue scarfs that a sweet friend sent to me to work to celebrate with my new nails. I will be sharing lots of smiles too!
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. DarleneBean, I pray YOU have a MAGICALLY MEANINGFUL MONDAY/4TH of JULY, and have a MAJESTIC WEEK to follow, my friend...
