Gryffn Musings PostThank you Susan! Someone has the "b**" to stand up for Sarah Palin and all women, and she’s a woman! **Should a mother with five children, one of them a pregnant teen and another an infant with special needs, be running for vice president? The question is being much debated, in newspaper stories and columns, on blogs and Web sites, and, yes, around kitchen tables across the country. No would be asking these questions if she were a man.Read entire post at above link. I beli... Read More

Their opinion is not worth any more than my own - or yours! O... Read More

A bamboo bridge, suspended by fragile ropes and gossamer hopes  above a lush valley gorge, appears before me in the rainforest. I walk alone through an unearthly mist, between trees too high to ponder and too numerous to count. I watch silent figures in orange robes cross the ephemeral bridge. Their hands are folded in front of them as if in prayer and their lips make no words.

There is no sound save for the water rushing through the gorge below.

The eerie mist hovers and cov... Read More

Childhood - An Embarrassing Moment

Childhood - An Embarrassing Moment   I was browsing through the blogs yesterday and came across a blog written by Kiwibarb about her childhood, and it got me to thinking about my own. I recall a time when I was in the 5 th grade, our English teacher had asked us to write a poem about a vegetable, and it had to rhyme. I thought to myself, oh no, I don't know anything about writing poetry at all. I raised my hand and told the teacher that I didn't think I could do the assignment because I... Read More
