The Sting of Death...
Posted On 09/14/2008 11:28:50 by peanut

We are God's creation!  It is awesome How He created us in such a way that prepares us for death.  As we grow old and/or become ill, our body and mind deteriorates, runs down and we grow tired.  Still, we fight death as a child fights sleep because we don't want to miss anything, we don't want to leave our loved ones.  Finally, at the end of a long day we are overcome by fatigue and welcome sleep.

When we know our true and living God... We can know beyond a doubt that separation from our loved ones is only temporary; we have His promise that we will see our loved ones again.  Both those that have passed before us and those that will follow.  What a revelation that is!  It gives us everything to look forward to, that promise helps us in the  loss of a loved one and eases the sting of death itself.

And many of them that sleep
in the dust of the earth shall awake,
some to everlasting life,
and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

Daniel 12:2

For God so loved the world,
that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish,
but have everlasting life.

John 3:16
