Sunday lunch with family and Brian...
Posted On 04/07/2009 07:21:27 by luvsnow

We had a great day of "Peace and Harmony" during our Sunday lunch. OMIGOSH....it was so nice!!!   Brian almost had a meltdown when Chloe touched one of his toys, but I quickly intervened and reminded him of our deal. He calmed down right away.  I did notice he tried to keep his distance from Chloe and that is fine.

My whole family was in awe and disbelief. This had been the biggest burden in our family for the past five years, but no more.   I know I won't mind having family gatherings now, as I  have a choice in the outcome.

Thanks again for all your concern, your prayers and  your great advice in helping me make my decision.

Let me add that I too am glad that things have worked out so far with your grandson. 90 percent of the kids with behavior problems owe it to the parents. To many parents today either don't want to take the time to be parents. They want to be friends. I have some it in my own family, but unfortunatly it's with a daughter-in-law. Not much I can do about it. Good idea letting Brian feed the birds. Does he have any animals at home, where he can contribute to their care? Anyway take care. Oh we had snow here in Spokane this morning, only lasted for a little while. Pat the dowwopmom

Amazing it seems to have worked straight away. Brian must have been waiting for someone to intervene as well.

Good one luvsnow.

Hi Cheryl,

Oh, my that is such wonderful news.  I must have missed what you decided to do since I was away from the Hill so much lately.  Whatever it was I am so happy it worked so you all had a nice time.

Cheryl, you deserve this success after all the work you have put in to getting a better understanding of Brian. Good on you, and I hope Brian's parents appreciate what you have done.

Way-To-Go, Cheryl! I just knew you could do it; now if Susan and her hubby do it at home, too! I think this also shows just how intelligent, Brian is and how is has his parents wrapped around his little finger.
