It was 9*. It felt cold. Everyone knew I was going to Walmart this morning, or maybe tomorrow. I went for some specific items. I ended up with 11 items. I have never had that many individual transactions before. I am not able to tap the credit card at Walmart, the only place in the world I can not. This creates a problem sometimes in getting the machine to read the card. Humbug! The first 10 went like usual, some problems with the card having to reinsert it. The last item was not payable for some unknown reason, several times including the employee clearing the machine for me to try again. Failure on this item, though not needed anyway. The employee had never seen this message before so I knew it was goodnight Matilda for this item. I returned to the fortress discovering one of my receipts was missing. I have 9, supposed to be 10. Searched my property, no luck. Too cold to return to Walmart to search the parking lot in case I dropped it there. I am 99% certain I paid as there was controversy on this item the last time I bought it and I noticed everything was rectified this time. I will double check my account later when on a secure computer. Woe is this shopper! I wonder if I am going to buy an air fryer in the next couple of days.
Good morning. 9* with a chill of -3*. Good news is we are heading to 23* later. I am pondering going to Walmart when they open. They don't open until 6 so I lie here in limbo thinking of the choices in life. Start of Advent today so it will be getting busier in the stores. Have a reasonable day and stay warm. Ciao for now and watch your wallet! I am still cold from the walk.
Here we are at a crossroads again. The last day of November. Tomorrow will be the LAST month of 2024. Time flies faster and faster.
Our Grandson, Will, can see things before I do. He is an awesome 18 year old Senior who loves Jesus and tells others all about Him. At 6'7" and 220 pounds he is very good at Martial Arts and the most helpful to his Gram and Grandpa. He is a blessing to us!
We had a wonderful week of Thanksgiving and I pray that you did too! Now let's say Goodbye to November as Christmas and the New Year will be here and gone in the blink of an eye! Blessings & Hugs to you and your families! Pam
As if on cue a little less than an inch of snow fell making the landscape look magical. But the wind is bitter! Have a Wonder-filled weekend as we greet December. 🧣
Good morning. It is 15* as of this typing. Heading to 20* later. Fortitude was the word this morning on the walk. 1* chill, and it felt like it with the wind. A couple of times I felt like turning around and returning to the fortress. Church later. Nothing else planned. I hope your Black Friday shopping went well. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

It is Black Friday. Ok, the sales have been going on for several weeks already. So I feel like they are just leading us on. Now that our Thanksgiving is over, no more pumpkins or Fall.
Now here we are waiting for Christmas and thinking of putting up decorations as the warm temperatures are now a thing of the past for most.
There have been some beautiful days in between the temperatures changing. So why does it feel like we went from one extreme to the other?
The birds all seem to adapt to "whatever comes next" in the weather.
So we say goodbye to Autumn and get prepared for Winter. Well, are we ever really ready for Winter?
Now I have to go build a fire, oh we don't have a fireplace. So it might be time to turn the heater on. I wish you a wonderful beginning of the weekend with lots of Blessings & Hugs. Pam
Good morning. Happy Black Friday. People are not as excited as in the past when some people at Best Buy would be in a tent 3 or 4 days before the event on the sidewalk. Now people use their computers to shop. The glory is gone. Even now, some stores come out before opening and on a limited quantity, they hand out tickets for the item to the first 25 people, or whatever. The thrill of rushing into the store and engaging in a fist fight or trampling someone is not there. The good old days.......... The walk this morning was cool to say the least. 19* with a chill of 4*F. Tomorrow should be single digits and it is not even winter yet. Brings back the memories of 2017, December, the furnace breaking down and the furnace authorities informing this writer he needs a new one. It still took me almost a year to pull the trigger and have it done. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
Happy Thanksgiving. I trust you recovered from BIG WEDNESDAY. I got an early start on the walk this morning. 2 AM. It was cold even though it was in the 20s. Maybe the moisture, and the wind. It really seemed cold walking north into the wind. I decided to go to Walmart for a piece of ham. As I neared the destination, the store was dark and the parking lot empty. It was closed!!! I thought of going on their website last night to see if they were abandoning all of the customers but time passed and so did the thought. I ended up going to a different store, and instead of getting the ham, I opted for a fresh pork loin filet, dry rubbed with garlic and herb, but it will take 1 hour in the oven. Ordinarily I do not like to do extensive cooking, but so be it. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
