From February, 1990 thru November, 1997, we lived on a 20 acre plot of land, in Kalkaska County, Upper Michigan. Where the average snowfall, yearly, is never less than 100 inches, and we witnessed a year with 252 inches, that's 21 feet of snow. While there I hand fed both a Chickadee, which landed right on my finger tips, and ate seeds out of my hand, and a Hummingbird, who had gotten caught up in the peak of our pole barn, and had to be coaxed out with our feeder as I held it for them. As soon as it got outside, it realized it was free, and shot off like an arrow for home. It had been lost in that pole barn for a whole night, before I found a way to free it. Short answer, YES, it almost landed on my hand, and I have had others fly within inches of my head...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Pam, I pray YOU have a TRANSFORMATIONALLY THIRSTY THURSDAY, and have had a TANTILLIZING WEEK, my friend...
The hummers sit in one of the two bushes below the feeders. never touched one but have had them fly by me very close - like they buzed over my head. The one I saw had a red throat and the other was dull - probably a female.
COOLER TODAY UP HERE AND MORE FIRES STARTED OVERNIGHT DUE TO DRY LIGHTNING. VETY LITTLE RAIN WHICH WE COULD USE A LOT OF . HAVE A GOOD THURSDAY PAM. TAKE CARE. HUGS, MOE
May you have a very special day enjoying your moments as you share your smile with others and hopefully they will share their smiles. I like the smilie wrinkles I have on my face. Hugs Gloria
Evening Pam - it was a warm one here 88 and felt like somewhere in the 90's. Rich mowed the grass around 5ish or a bit later and said it was hot out . When I went oit t was nice. Cleaned a chicken and gussied it all up and roasted it for over an hour. Was good but a lot of work. Made gravy with the drippings too. We only eat the white meat and that' only one side of the breast - I did get a wing too. I'll probably make chicken salad with the rest of the white mean and I'll stew the rest of it to make soup. Rich is always up for soup. Only ran the vacuum as I thought I should do some kind of housework! lol Gets dark before 8:30 - when I was young, we played outside til 9. Now I know it was a long time ago, so you can stop laughing now. It was 88 today and now is 80 but feels like 88 so I guess the humidity is strong. I don't seem to feel it though. Have a pleasant nite and pray for rain. Hugs, Wendy
Hi there. I hope you have been enjoying your Tuesday. Mine has been busy. Had to go and get some blood work done as I have my 3 month doctor appointment with my diabetic doctor in the morning. Its a nice afternoon here, not to hot. Not much else going on, just wanted to say Hi to everyone on the hill. Take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs, Cheryl
