I was 16 when I got my drivers license or I guess it was 17 when it was all over. My boyfriend - husband to be - taught me how to drive as he was 2 years older and already had his license. He also taught a friend who I worked with how to drive. Can't remember if I took my grandmother's car or if it was my grandfather's car to take the test in. But in those days you had to parallel park. Her's was a station wagon and his was a Tempest with no power steering. Fun times. It was warm today but there was a breeze felt like 97 but was only 87. Helped out in the kitchen at the Moose today and will go back tomorrow to finish making the lunches and putting them together. Will stay there to answer the phone while she delivers them and people come to pick theirs up. then at 4:30 I have an ultrasound of both my lower legs then when that's done, it to the VFW for some wings. Hope your day is a good one Pam. Keep cool and hope for rain! Hugs, Wendy
CANT BELIEVE I STILL HAVE MY DRIVERS LICENSE AFTER GETING IT AT 21 HERE I AM AT ALMOST 86 AND STILL DRIVING. WOW, I WAS SO YOUNG THEN AND SO OLD NOW. LOL HUGS, MOE
Hello there and I hope you are enjoying your afternoon. Its a warm one here. Its 95* and feels like 99*. I had to get out and run some errands. Its rather warm out there. My wildflowers in my pot on my porch are looking rather wilted even though I water them every evening. I don't think they will last much longer. Take care my friend and enjoy the rest of your day. Hugs to you, Cheryl
HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYIGN YOUR TIME AWAY FROM WORK PAM. THERE REALLY IS NO PLACE LIKE OUR HOME AND ALLT HE THINGS THAT WE HAVE TO DO THERE. COOLER UP HERE BUT STILL MANY FIRES. YOU TAKE CARE AND ENJOY BEING HOME PAM.
Hi there. I hope you are having a good afternoon. Its a hot 101* here. At least it isn't humid. Had a busy morning, then came home and took a nap. Feeling rather refreshed from the nap. Got anything planned for this week? We have a trip to Oklahoma City on Wednesday. My hubby has a doctor's appoinmnet on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. He broke his colar bone last year at the end of October and its still bothering him. So that will be a long day for us. Not much else going on, just staying inside where its cool. Our next electric bill is going to be awful with the fans running all day and all night and the air conditioner running during the day. Well take care my friend. Hugs, Cheryl
Happy new week Pam. How's your day going? I'm sure it's still hot where you are. It's 93 here and feels like 100. So it's not cool here either. I was outside talking to the man who was weed eating our ditches, and could only stay in the sun for about 20 minutes and had to come in before I got burned. And here's where I'm staying. Rich went out to get new cartridges for the printer as I ran out of ink - I print too many recipes but that is my only downfall. I don't go out spending money on clothes or shoes or make up or getting nails done or anything else personal. Ok I do get my feet done, as that's important to keep from getting ingrown nails from occuring but that's only once every 3 months. He has saved 10s of thousands of $ (probably more) since he's been single. I need to get something out for dinner, so I hope you enjoy the rest of the day. Hugs, Wendy
