How was your last day at work Pam? I'm sure you had mixed emotions but I know you're happy not having to get up real early anymore and being home to get things done. We've had another hot day here with the heat index of 110 but a thunder storm just came thru so maybe it cooled things off some and now the sun is out like it never rained. Not sue what's for dinner as what I had planned, Rich didn't bring home the right stuff. Guess it'll be soup and sandwiches. The temp has dropped by 20 degrees - now 75. We got some of your weather today - it was 95 - 98 with a heat index of over 105. It had to go for blood work and then I went tothe post office to mail my granddaughter a late birthday card. it was one that I had made and knew she would love it. It only had a little plastic peice on it and it cost $1.40 as he said it was over the weight. I wanted it hand stamped and not to go thru the machine so it would tear up the design. That's just nuts to charge that. Friday I went and mailed out another homemade card and wanted it hand stamped and they charged me either 40 or 60 cents extra just to stamp it in red. Now that was way crazy. Hope you're making out ok with the heat in your area - at least we are getting a break for two days - going down to 86. Only a couple more days of work - sure hope this new person works out this time. Take care and keep cool. Hugs, Wendy
Good afternoon to you. Its a nice cool day here. But only for today, then tomorrow is back into the 90's. We had a cool front come through last night. It's a hot one for sure here so I imagine it's even hotter in Texas. We'll be hitting 100 with heat index of about 110. I'm not going out at all in this heat except to go to the car when we leave to go play dominoes. Glad you only have a couple more days of work Pam, as I know you are looking forward to a nice rest period and to be home more often expeially to spend more time with the family.
