It's a hot one for sure here so I imagine it's even hotter in Texas. We'll be hitting 100 with heat index of about 110. I'm not going out at all in this heat except to go to the car when we leave to go play dominoes. Glad you only have a couple more days of work Pam, as I know you are looking forward to a nice rest period and to be home more often expeially to spend more time with the family. Well I have been mostly in the house with the AC being comfortable and cool. D, id some vacuuming, put clothes in the dryer (finally) and hung up all the shirts an got dinner together. I also was outside earlier this afternoon pulling some weeds, but not for long as my back won't allow me to do a lot of bending over like that. It's a drop in the ocean anyway - I wish I coud operate the weed eater. Rich won't do it number one due to the heat - it's 90 + with our heat index way over 100 - he has COPD so not alot gets done during this heat.
Did you have any damage from the hurricane that came ashore back in 21? I was watching a tv show this morning and part of it was about that hurricane in the winter and lots of power outages in many parts of Texas. If it hit you, how did you make out? It sure is a shame about the fires in Hilo, Hawaii with so much damage and loss of life. There was a fire here in the Outer Banks, wheree 3 died in a house fire. We have so much to be thankful for - don't we? Well guess it's time I should go make dinner but what I really want to do is take a nap!! Lots of hugs, Wendy
