Woke up to a couple inches of snow yesterday, but it didn't last very long. Sun is shining bright this afternoon but it is only 43 degrees. Looking forward to some 70 degree weather. The su was out when I got up but the rain started with thunder but not heavy. It's just a real slight rain now that we are having. I spent 2 1/2 hrs in the kitchen making a ham and noodle casserole - a new recipe with lots of ingredients. Got dessert from the bake sale yesterday so I don't have to worry about that. I think the rain has finally stoped altogether and I'll be getting ready to leave in about 1/2. I could have done a side of fried cabbage with bacon but not after spending all that time doing the casserole. Oh well, it'll be enough - it's hearty. Hope you are enjying your Sunday Pam. Gorgeous day today 81 and sunny with no rain. Was at the bake sale for the oyster roast from 11 to 3. Was up at 6am and didn't get back to sleep till almost 8 and got up at 8:30. It was a long day. We sold out of everything and I think they sold out all the food too. At the end our stuff was half price and they were selling 5 peices of chicken for $5. I bought a big pineapple upside down cake for dessert tomorrow nite at dominos. Now i just need to figure out what to make for dinner. Have a good nite and a fine Sunday. hugs, Wendy
Hi Pam. Hope your day turned out just the way you wanted. It was really warm here - in the 80's but by evening it was starting to get cold. What a swing in temps. We went tothe senior center to have a homemade spaghetti dinner with salad, roll, dessert and a drink all for $5 ea. It was good too. There was a speaker on hypertention also and she did a good job. This evening we went to the VFW for a bit then 6 of us went to the Moose for the evening. We left at 10 as Rich has to get up at 6am to go to a class in Edenton for something to do with the Masons. I'll go to the oyster roast to help out with the auxillary's bake sale. He lost the tickets so we could get the chicken dinners, so I'll have to get something to eat and take there.
