It was sunny but 64 here - nice enough that I only needed an overshirt to go out shopping today. The store had small ham steaks 5/$5 so I got two that were at one store then stopped at another store and they had plenty so I picked up 5 of them. Had one for dinner along with fresh green beans and tater tots. My son and his girlfriend sent me a birthday gift of a box that when you open it, out flew butterfles (plastic) and rosebuds. The 4 sides come down and there are pictures of my kids and gran and a small cake with a candle in the center. We ate the cake tonite. It was still good and small enough for just the two of us. I don't like chocolate so I got a small half. lol. Rich has a riding mulching mower and then goes back over it with a sweeper. I know he can't wait for the grass to grow again so he can get out there and now. Sleep sweetly. Hugs, Wendy
Okay, here goes. It is a long tale, so it will come in installments.
Both my parents came from Roman Catholic families, so, naturally, I was raised Roman Catholic, even to the point of Confirmation, and my Confirmation name is Michael, which makes my name Daniel Joseph Michael Sanchez, and I am a Senior, as my youngest son's name is the same as mine.
Anyway, I was fascinated by the presented personality of Jesus, and the story of how, and why, he came into the world, and tried my best to emulate him, so, in that way, I AM a Christian, but that is as far as that goes, because, the rest of what was being taught to me, about what our RELIGION represented, didn't jibe with me, which is why I decided, soon after my Confirmation, age 13, to study Religions, and decide, for myself, what I was.
Getting long-winded already, so will carry on tomorrow, okay?
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Pam, I pray YOU have a MARVELOUSLY MAGICAL MONDAY, and a MAGNIFICENT WEEK, my friend...
Actually, my avatar is a very good interpretation of the ME of ME. I AM Yin/Yang, and own it! If you are truly interested I can relate the tale of why. Just say the word...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Pam, I pray YOU have a SATISFYINGLY SPLENDID SUNDAY, and have had a SENSATIONAL WEEKEND, my friend...
It was a nice sunny but cool day with a high of 59. I was in all day as I cleaned out my bedside table's top drawer. There were so many old papers and recipts and statements that I either threw away or destroyed. I still have more papers that need to be run thru the shredder. While doing this, I was in the kitchen cutting up veggies for a chuck roast in the oven. it was nice and tender when I took it out 3 1/2 hours later and it was a good meal that we both enjoyed. I also made gravy with the drippings. Someday I'll do the bottom drawer of the side table but it mostly has extra meds in it so it won't be as much work. The top daqewer is almost empty - that's how much stuff I had in there. I have a telephone health chick up at 2 or 3 oclock which should be finished in enough time so I can get ready to go to dominoes. Good thing I don't have to cook. Have a good Sunday - a day of rest. Hugs Wendy
Good morning, and happy Saturday. Hope you are doing well and having some decent weather. Been rather chilly here in the early mornings, upper 20's. Had a little snow a few days ago. Can't believe it is mid February already. Time sure flies.. Spring will be here before we know it.
Anyway, enough babble for now. Hope you have a wonderful weekend~~~ take care, debijo
