HI PAM, OH HOW WELL I REMEMBER CRICKET, SHE WAS SUCH A NICE PERSON, ALWAYS CHEERFUL . THINK OF HER OFTEN.
DO YOU SMELL THE LILACS ABOVE?? THEY ARE ALWAYS OUT ON MOTHER'S DAY IN FULL BLOOM. JUST LOVE THEM. LOVE AN OLD BOUNTRY LAND IN THE SPRING AND TO SMELL THE LILACS WAS SUCH A HAPPY MEMORY FOR ME. USED TO PICK ONE AND TAKE IT HOME TO MOTHER. SHE LOVED THEM.
How nice that you have a flower that keeps growing that you friend gave you. Now when you look at it, you can always remembr her. I can't remember when I joined NOTH. It was after Eons closed and another member started Boomerville till that closed then I was directed to NOTH. I do love the moon , but I guess my phone camera isn't the best as when I have taken pictures of it, they don't com out sharp at all. It's a nice sunny 68 degree day here and I filled the birdbath and pulled a few weeds whil outside. Still haven't seen any hummers but I'm waiting. Gong to make Shepard's Pie for dinner - last nite it was homemade sloppy joes. Have a beautiful day Pam. Hugs, Wendy
Most of you know I love to take pictures. But to capture the moon like that, you need the right camera.
Even with a phone camera, it takes the right "eye" to "see" the right angle to capture the right picture.
I also just like looking at pictures. I came across this one that had a caption of the name of a plant. This is a Double Angel Trumpet.
A lot of you might not know that plant or remember the name Cricket. She was the first person that asked to be my friend when I joined Not Over The Hill in 2008. The above picture is her Angel Trumpet plant in her front yard.
While Cricket is no longer with us on earth, her Angel Trumpet plant lives on at my home just as she lives on in my heart. She would take cuttings in the fall and root them over the winter. She sent me a couple of cuttings and I still have one growing in a tub. It is inside our garage today because it is cold. It has been pulled in and out (in warmer weather) of our garage so many times over the years (hundreds) and will soon be at home in our backyard in another month when the weather stays warmer.
Every time I spoke to Cricket with all her health trials, she would say she couldn't wait to get to Heaven and have a "Woo Hoo Party" with Jesus. I was blessed by her friendship and I am also blessed by your friendship.
Howdy, hoping all is well your way.. All is good here, had nice weather yesterday so did some yard work, mowing, weeding etc. Rain is expected again by this evening and most of next week. Hope you enjoy your day and have a great week~~ hugs, debijo
Yes, we have a cat. Her name is Salena, and she came to us from our son, Danny Jr., who picked her up at his Walmart parking lot, from someone who was giving away kittens, then found, after he got married, that he couldn't keep her, and their dogs, so he gave her to us. She sometimes scares herself, she's so skiddish, but she's a good kitty, and we love her...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Pam, I pray YOU have a STUPIFYINGLY SPLENDID SUNDAY, and have had a SPLENDIFEROUS WEEKEND, my friend...
I haven't even gotten to Lowes to look at plants but my hummingbird feeders are haning up on the porch in the basket spots so anything I buy will just have to remain in the pots on the ground. We both did a little weding earlier in the afternoon but it's so overgrown and we should have started weeks ago. I don't know if I'll ever get the little garden looking good again.
I love cats and have always had one. My cat is at home in Jerseey as Rich hates cats. She has got to be at least 15 years old or maybe older. I don't remembr when I got her but she fit in the palm of my hand. When I got home in December, she doesn't even remember me but now loves my son, so that's ok and she is well taken care of.
Going to a musice fest of the 70's and 80's at the VFW and so are our friends. Will enjoy a night of GOOD music. Have a good evening yourself. Hugs, Weendy
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Pam, I pray YOU have a STEADFASTLY SENSATIONAL SATURDAY, and are having a SPLENDIFEROUS WEEKEND, my friend...
