I saw where Texas got rain and saw where it hit the Dallas area too. It rained a little bit here but not much. It's in the 60's - still nice - no jackets needed. Went for x rays of my hips so the doc could have them for my appointment on Thursday. Didn't cook for our domino game last nite - picked up a pizza - too bad if they are on WW - they blew it over the weekend when they went to Hallow Scream at Bush Gardens and we are watching their dogs Thursday thru the weekend when they go to Ashville for the Souther Conference for the VFW. They'll drink themselves silly for 3 days plus eat. They got another dog since the last time and it's a puppy and not housetrained, so it's gonna stay in it's cage and we'll take her outside every so often. I can't believe they got a new puppy knowing that we were gonna watch their dogs! They could have waited another 2 weeks till they got home. Don't you think? And yes the dog would still be available. Stopped at the butcher's and got pork chops on sale - 6 nice thick ones and I found a new recipe for baked chops - they were so darn good and not over cooked. Made peas and baked sweet potatoes. Well I did laundry and vacuumed - my downfall as I can hardly walk but it has to get done. Went outside to water the plants - it was 70 degrees here today but rain supposed to move in tonite after midnite. Got things ready for dinner - had lefto ver turkey roll ups and 2 veggies. Rich helped me unload the dishwasher, so all I have to do is fold the towels that are in the dryer. Hope you get to relax tomorrow - we are gonna go play dominos and I'm cooking. Well it was your last day after a full week at work. Now you deserve to take it easy as the weekend is here. I know, that's a joke. I never relaxed when I had time off. We went to the American Legion for their supper tonite. It was a fish fry but found out when we got there they had shrimp instead. They were really good - not breaded and didn't seem to be steamed and not grilled and they were good sized. After we went to the VFW with his brother and wife for a couple of drinks. it was nice seeing some old friends and there were quite a few folks there. I need to clean this house!! And I'd like to see some shows that I have recorded but not sure about that. Have a super weekend Pam am sure you deserve it. Hugs, Wendy
Good afternoon my friend. Its 80* here. The mornings are very cool to start off. Some of the leaves around here are yellow but not very many.
