The rain we got this afternoon only made things more humid and steamy than before, but at least everyting otuside got a drink. I hadn't eaten all day so when I got home I ate a couple peices of pizza that were left over from the other nite. When Rich got home from the VFW, he said "one piece of pizza?" Told him there were leftovers from last nite if he wanted that instead. Not much irks me as much as someone being so ungrateful as not to say thank you when dinner is fixed for them. So deal with whatever you can find. Not alot going on in this neck of the woods - got to jump in the shower in a few so have a good rest of the evening and nite. Hugs, Wendy

I just started this nice summer bird puzzle today as the rain is coming down off and on this morning. We are at 67 for the temp at the moment. Now where is my coffee cup? I LOVE all 3! I was told, at the ripe old age of 7 years old, that I had perfect pitch, and was about the youngest person in that school,s history to be given an instument to practice, a Coranet. Later a Baratone, and then a French Horn. Never had the patience, then, to stick with any of them and learn them well. However, I could sing to match ANY voice I had heard, including the Soprano part in "The Lion Sleeps Tonight". Was 95 today and might get rain after midnite but who knows for sure. I never played a musical instrumetn, but took voice lessons and used to sing opera when I was in high school I never followed it up though , but always loved to sing - you're right - the oldies are the best. Went to canteen every Friday nite held at the local fire station - never could do the mashed potatoes though - and to any of the school dances. Ran to WalMart to get my $40 refund then to Dollar Tree - haven't been there sincne before they raised the prices to $1.25. Got a much needed toilet brush for the hall bath - no one ever uses it but it still needs to be cleaned. Got just a few cards and one or two other things. Didn't seem that hot as all I did was run from the car tothe stores and back again. Guess I'll need to water the plants tomorrow unless we get some rain - due after midnite but who knows for sure. Hello there my friend. I hope you had a good weekend. I didn't do much. It was hot. Helped hubby last night trim some of our trees. Well he trimmed then I hauled some off to the dumpster. Used to play the cello when I was young, Pam. Also tried the guitar and autoharp. Had a nice extended electronic keyboard and took some lessons. Now, mostly listen to classical music. Love opera. How about you? Any favourites? (((XXX))

I love Oldies and older Country music and we listen to SiriusXM quite a bit. My girls both like Choir in school. We used to dance all the time but since Hubby's hip surgeries we do not go dancing anymore.
But music will always be one of the keys to my heart. Even though I can't really sing, remember the words or play an instrument. What do you play?
I have videos from when my granddaughters were very young playing all sorts of instruments, horns, drums, etc. Actually, Michelle is now taking virtual guitar lessons from Mexico every week.
Now, if I can just keep my plants alive, I will be happy. I need to turn on the music outside and water them. Monday Blessings to you!
Didn't know Proust had it in him! Yes, I was an avid gardener, Pam, used to walk around and talk to all my plants. Now I just have my air plants (but I still talk to them).

Such a pretty lily in my flower garden. Puts a smile on my face seeing all the lilies in the flower bed of many colors that was planted last fall. My goodness saying the world fall we will be heading into August soon. Really to tell you the truth I am looking forward the fall days. Hope we are blessed with a long colorful fall season. Ha, Ha, I am even wearing today a brown outfit and have a fall amber orange sweater on for it is 57 for the temp at the moment this morning. Loving these cooler days. In the mean time I'am sipping on a nice cup of coffee. Have a Glorious Life doing this and that and I will do the same. Smiles Gloria
