Like you, Pam, I'm in touch with school pals from 1953 (close to 70 years). We are widspread, some here in Canada, and England of course, and also New Zealand. We all all the same age as we won scholarships to a Grammar School. Nice to be able to keep in touch over the years. Hope your weekend is being good to you.
Good morning my friend, hope you are doing well. Another weekend upon us. We had lovely sunny weather all week and now the rain is supposed to be back today. At least I got the lawn mowed yesterday, really need to water but decided since it is going to rain might as well let Mother Nature do it for me lol... You take care of yourself and enjoy your weekend~~ hugs, debijo
I've got a couple of friends of 66 years, both, of whom, I met shortly after moving into the neighborhood I'd eventually grow up in. Tim, I met first, who lived right down the street from me, on his 4th birthday, and Dave, whom I met at school that same year. Have kept in touch with both ever since. In fact, all of our anniversaries are in the same month, exactly, 1 week apart, each. Tim & Pat's, the 3rd, Ours, the 10th, and Dave & Carol's the 17th, then there's my birthday the 4th week, on the 25th. We fill April pretty well, eh?...
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Pam, I pray YOU have a SATISFYINGLY SENSATIONAL SATURDAY, and are having a SPENDIFOROUS WEEKEND, my friend...
You are so blessed to have such nice friends that send you gifts. We never get that hot here - in the high 90's and may hit 100 or a bit higher but not for long. Been a long day for me as I didn't sleep well last nite. Signed up for lunch so we had to go, then I had a mamo at 1 - came home and did't do much the rest of the afternoon.. Tried to take a nap but wasn't successful. Ate leftovers for dinner as Rich went to the post - I didn't want to go - most everyone is at the conference. He won't go - don't know if he's too cheap to spend the money, mostly probably because of the dog. He doesn't want to put her in a kennel. Hope you have a good day tomorrow - no plans here. Hugs, Wendy
Have you ever seen a two headed giraffe? Ok, maybe it is the angle but it is really neat looking! I have one more for you... Have you ever seen a giraffe umbrella?
Well, now you have seen both! I am so blessed! My friend since 3rd grade, of about 65 years, sent that to me in the mail. Isn't it cute!!! And I love the feet on it too. Earlier in the week, a friend of about 45 years sent us 3 different flavors of Pretzels. Then yesterday I got two beautiful but different Patriotic scarves I can wear to work from a Hillian friend of about 10 years. I am truly BLESSED!
This morning was cloudy, cool, and spitting rain for just over an hour. So we got the yard mowed. Of course, it is 96° with a "feel like" of 106° or 1006° right now as we still have several hours to reach our high for the day. We even got our errands run, bought dog food, got Hubby's passport picture, and got his glasses ordered from Costco as well as bought everything and then some at Costco that was on our list. We are ready for the weekend! How about you?
Jacobo, you have some cute pages you have made; keep it up!
Poured with rain on Tues so we made a new date for next Mon. Pam. Still raining but provs predict better weather for next week. Hope you are enjoying your day even with the high temps.
Had a small thunderstorm come thru earlier but didn't last long at all. Rich was out mowing the lawn but didn't stop as he was almost done.. Then the sun came out like nothing happened! Lunches started again inside at the senior center so we went today and we'll go for the rest of the week, as you have to sign up for either 2 days at a time then the 3 days after. Not crazy about that so I guess we won't be going there much untill they change back to daily. Just finished putting a meatloaf in the oven and will put in some brussle sprout in for the last 25 mins. I dried 2 sets of sheets but haven't felt like folding them. Will do it later when my back is not hurting. Standing to make dinner was all I coulld do. Hope you had a wonderful day - haven't really read all the comments on my page. Was working on another site as they have a contest going on and I added a few graphics on this site too. Wisihing you a good rest of the afternoon, evening. Hugs & smiles, Wendy
hi there. Its a wonderful afternoon here. Its only in the mid 70's here and a north breeze. Going to warm up in the 90's soon and 100's by the weekend. Don't like the heat but its June so I guess I will have to deal with it. Got my laundry in the dryer. I need to vacuum and dust but I think I will wait and do that tomorrow. My cough is getting better. I still take a cough syrup at night so I don't spend all night coughing. Will be glad when that is gone. have a wonderful afternoon my friend and take care. Hugs, Cheryl
Come with me into the field of sunflowers is a better line than anything you will find here, and the sunflowers themselves far more wonderful than any words about them.
LET THE SUNSHINE IN YOUR HEART BLOO, LIKE THE BEAUTY OF THE SUNFLOWER
