Hi there my friend. Its a nice, cool and rainy day here. Well the morning was rainy but at least it isn't hot here. I've enjoyed the cooler temperature but the heat will be back tomorrow. Oh well, its to be expected since its summer. Had a nice short trip this weekend. Got to see my oldest daughter and our two grandsons while we were in Oklahoma City. Not doing much. Just getting caught back up on the laundry from being gone. Wishing you a wonderful day and take care. Hugs, Cheryl
Howdy there my sweet good friend. Looks like it will be a beautiful day. Had a good weekend went to a campground to dance to my best band had a super time. Hope you have a super new week.
HI PAM, TRYING TO STAY COOL UP HERE ON THE WEST COAST. VERY HOT FOR HERE AND FOR SEATTLE TOO. NOT USED TO IT ALL. STAYING UNDER THE FANS AS BEST I CAN. TAKE CARE PAM AND HAVE A GOOD NEW WEEK.
Hello Pam, our heat wave broke late Fri evening finally. We had 2 weeks of triple digit heat and it was rough. We got a good rain last night too and my plant are happy. Enjoy your weekend and stay cool!
We are in the same boat as you Pam as far as lack of rain. Not sure how much - but I did hear it on the news. Went to Lowes this afternoon as Rich wanted some things and I picked up 2 more plants. They happen to be yellow and I have another big plant that is yellow also. Other than that I've been home all day. There was a BBQ at the post but we forgot about it. I probably wouldn't have gone, but Rich mght have as he's not opposed to go there. He went last nite and said he had a good time but there wasn't that many people there. I can't believe that the month is almost over and it's the last weekend of the month. Hope you get some ran soon. Hugs, Wendy
Yes, Pam. Yesterday went to lunch at a fancy restaurant (first time since March 2020) Had a scrumptious meal at a local Italian place close to us. We sat outside on the patio under a big umbrella with cool breezes. Had to go to the Doc so made the most of it. Great day in all. Hope Saturday is treating you well. Beeg huggles and luff.
I have already watered all plants in the back as they were completely wilted. I was almost wilted by the time I finished. At 8:30, we are 84° feels like 88° and Hubby is weedeating.
As I walked outside at 6:30 am, I saw a hummingbird. It has been too hot to sit on the patio to watch for them but their feeders are fresh and full. The Turks Cap, dark purple Salvia and other plants are blooming and just waiting for them too.
We are praying for rain Sunday night and Monday along with some cooler temperatures. The area is already 7" below "normal" (do we know normal anymore) for this year and adding an additional 3" below from last year. Fires have just started breaking out again.
But for now the birdbaths are all full of water for the butterflies, birds, and bugs. And the plants, like the milkweed above, are all watered. Jacobo, I hope you have a beautiful day and weekend and another awesome page!
As I am enjoying my morning cup of coffee I thought I would chit chat abit with you. May you have a glorious weekend. We received more rain over night so the grass and the flower beds are happy. My goodness this month is flying by ever so quickly enjoying ones moments of life. Hope life is treating you nicely while your sharing your pretty smile with all. Smiles Gloria
GOOD MORNING, LOVE, HUGS & BLESSINGS, Ms. Pam, I pray YOU have a SPECTACULARLY SENSATIONAL SATURDAY, and are having a SPLENDIFOROUS WEEKEND, my friend...
Hi ya Pam - guess you are done for the day and hopefully relaxing in the house. Rich just left to go to the post - I'm staying home again as our friends won't be there. They are probably staying home themselves as they won't go back to the post. Thought they might go to the Moose but not tonite. I'll stay in and hopefully find something on tv to watch. Went out earlier today and moved all the plants out fron so he could weed wack everything. I swear some of the dandilions were 10 inches tall! Not sure if he thought the neighbor was gonna do it as he did it last year. But he did do the back and edges of the drive, so I guess he figures Rich could do something. It looks so much better. I'm really surprised he let it go this long as he likes to mow the grass all the time - God forbid it would grow to be two inches high. And this place is right out front where everyone can see. Doesn't make sense does it? Maybe he was waiting for me to move all the plants out. If that was the case, he should have said something. When our neighbors were over here the other day, she even remarked about it. Oh well it's done now and that's all that matters. Took a nap this afternoon - seems like working outside in the sun takes it out of me anymore. Guess that's another sign I'm getting old!!! Hope you've had a good day - It was 78 but felt warmer while I was out there. Hugs, Wendy
Stayed in all day and cleaned till my back ached and I didn't finish. Who knows when I'll do the rest but most of it has been done. Took a hot shower to help and did my hair as we might be going to the Moose with our friends. He's adament that he will never go back to the post again. So this will probably be our Friday nite hang out I can't thnk of anything that has happened to me that can compare to your story, Pam. Have a good nite and stay rested. Hugs, Wendy
