Wednesday is starting off slow. I need more coffee. Do I really have to get out of bed today? I love watching a good movie in the late evenings and then reading some in my latest book.
Some days are purrfect to just stay in bed and read a good book like... How to Kill a Mockingbird or How to Catch a Mouse.
Now you know why we don't have a cat. However, we do have dogs that don't like anything to be in their backyard, squirrels, bunnies, birds, mice, rats or anything that moves.
Good thing hummingbirds are very small and very fast and our dogs have never caught one of them.
So on this "middle of the week", stay in bed, read a good book, and don't worry about anything else. If you can get away with that!
Good morning. I am dying by a thousand cuts. The heat is oppressive. It was in the 90s past 10 last night so I could not even open the windows. About midnight I opened the windows and began aerating. Not much help but a little. How did I ever do this as a child? This is the third year I am doing it without air conditioning. I don't remember this effect the last two years. Apparently this is some kind of record. In about a billion years this will seem like winter. You want to talk of records! The temp will be about three thousand degrees. If I was still around yet, I would use air conditioning. I am not going to go for the walk for a couple of days. I think the constant walking on the concrete is giving me aches and pains in the back. Whatever. May the force be with you as I will be lying silent hoping for the mental toughness to conquer the heat. I am forgoing coffee today in an effort to cool down. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!

August 3rd, Nicole got her Texas Drivers License. Her new TDL card is already in her possession.
Yesterday, August 21st, Will got his Texas Drivers License. What a wonderful month it has been.
I'm trying to remember when I got mine and I can't remember that far back. But I was so excited when Wayne got his and I could just toss him the keys and say... Go get us some milk!
Y'all better look out on the roads. I do remember the first (shortly after I got my TDL) and the last (leaving the Ranch about 30 years ago) time I took the bottom out from under the car I was driving.
