The weekend is in full swing. I can't wait to hear from you. We are back to humid and not so cool again. The Houston Astros are in the World Series! The Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys have the weekend off.
I know I need to start thinking about getting the plastic out (100') to cover all the plants but I just am not ready yet. I always hate putting the hanging plants and potted plants scattered all over the yard up for the winter.
And with our warm weather right now, I can just sit and think about it. I will just admit it, winter is not my favorite time of year. I like cool weather but not cold weather.
I almost never wear a jacket as I hate putting it on and taking it off. Besides, I usually just get in the car and go into the store. And you don't need a jacket either of those places in Texas.
I'm not really into fashion anymore either. I'm a "just take me as I am person" now. But please share your smile and joy with others.
A very happy weekend to you. another beautiful day here for us and great football weather. My son came in late yesterday afternoon cut and trimmed yard again for me. Been doing it on a weekly basis. Him and daughter-in-law are such a loving family. He spent the night so we'll watch football 🏈 today. Enjoy your weekend and take care.....George
Good morning. It is a cold morning, albeit, 1° warmer than yesterday's freezing temperatures. 33°and I did not feel like going out again. When the cold weather starts, I am not battle tested and ready to go and I usually have to use the electric cattle prod in the morning to get me going. Another month and I will think this is nice. I have completed the task and am better because of it. I have the obligatory church later today. Outside of that, I really have nothing on the agenda. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
I, along with Jaume Plensa, call this Water's Soul. This is New Jersey.
TGIF. I really did get several things done today, trash & recycle have been picked up, both of us have showered, I watered plants (already mid 80's) and hubby trimmed a tree with new pole saw.
I just have to share... My granddaughter, Nicole, is an 8th grader, she plays volleyball. Thursday, her team beat the other team 25-0. One girl on her team served the entire game. Have you ever heard of that? We are so proud of the team she is on this year. They won the weekend tournament a few weeks ago.
Anyway, I am so proud of her and winning 25-0 is something she will always have to remember.
Then, the first person I met on the Hill was Cricket in 2008. She passed away many years ago and is still having a "Woo Hoo" party with Jesus every day. But she sent me a cutting of the Angel Trumpet plant in her front yard.
And so every time the one I have blooms, I know she is watching out for me.
So now I am off and running to share my smile with everyone I see. And yes, we are going to be near record setting temperatures of low 90's.
The driver of the employer's truck will be happier this week than last week. I assume you manned the living room on your own last night with the employer's truck making money for the employer.
Good morning. Happy Friday. Starting today at 32° Fahrenheit. Frost on the cars. I looked for a reason not to go for my walk this morning and I was able to force myself out of bed and out of the house. It is a mental thing. For the first half mile I was looking for a reason to turn around and go back into my house. But after that first half mile, it did not seem to bother me too much. I should say until the last half mile. Then it seemed like the cold air was getting to my lips and my mouth if I kept it open too long. I had to limit my conversation to a minimum to keep the cold air out of my mouth. In a couple of months, this will seem tropical, comparatively speaking. I managed to get to Best Buy and one of the grocery stores yesterday. I'm not planning on going anywhere today except for maybe a constitutional around the neighborhood. Have a good day. Ciao for now and watch your wallet!
It was 80 here and sunny. Was an all day on the phone all afternoon checking on payoffs and setting up automatic withdrawls for other things. Really tiresome! Made Sheppard's pie for dinner at honey's request - was good. Page is looking good. Have a good evening. Hugs, Wendy
Got sunshine? I do. A gorgeous Thursday here, even if it is a bit warmer than an October day could feel. Dave went to pick up our grocery order and, while he was gone, I did the vacuuming and made some iced tea. Now to see what the rest of the day brings! How is your day? Let's enjoy ourselves, whatever we may be doing.
