Its a hot Friday afternoon here. Its 95 and feels like 97. I can sure do without the humidity. I'm busy with the laundry and I have dishes to do but waiting for the chicken to get done in the oven before I do all my dishes. I'm making chicken tenders wrapped in turkey bacon and rolled in brown sugar. It is really good. The smell is making me hungry. Well have a good afternoon and stay cool. Take care, Cheryl
Where oh where did this week go? And in just 10 more days the month will be over! What the heck have I been doing all month and what did I get accomplished?
All I really know is that I have NOT missed a meal. OK, the other thing I know is that the hot temperatures are back! Our dew point has been 76-79 all week. Who was it that said our humidity probably isn't as bad here (DFW) as it is where they live?
Let the weekend begin. Tell me, do you have plans? My plans are to survive all this stuff going on right now. So the party is at our house. Come on over. But don't forget to bring your smile.

Good Afternoon my friend. I hope you are doing well. I'm feeling okay. Just tired from our trip to Amarillo, Texas yesterday. Its about a 3 hour drive there. Husband a a checkup with his diabetic doctor yesterday. It went good. It takes us longer to get there than the appointment takes. I'm getting my laundry going right now. Thats about all I'm doing today. A nap is in order for today also. Its a warm and cloudy day here today. Its 84 but feels like 88. Don't care for that humdity. We are getting lots of rain... lots! So as I get on my new, fast, beautiful Orange iMac to look for a rain picture... this one comes up... OK, all dressed up... however I am still in my nighty today. Hubby has been to town twice and I have been doing ??? something in here... Oh, I erased the old computer of all my stuff and reinstalled the operating system and it is now ready for my son to pick up.
So I guess this is as dressed up as I will get today since it is already mid afternoon. I can hardly wait to find out what you have been doing. We had several showers the last 3 days. They were all light with no wind or storms and each one was only a tenth or two. Today is pouring down.
So how about we just play dress up? We could show off our fancy clothes to each other. And as some of you know, I really don't cook much. So after we get all dressed up, we will have to get out in the rain to go somewhere to eat and show ourselves off.
So now I'm off to dig through my closet and see if I can find something other than T-shirts and denim. Hubby said as he was leaving a store today, he encountered a Vet with a Service Dog. He told him what a beautiful dog he had. The Vet said thank you. As Hubby noticed his Veteran cap, he said, No, thank you for your service. The Vet said that means a lot, especially today. So again, I ask you to share your smile because you never know what the other person is going through. I hope I put a smile on your face!
