Hi Grace - it's been a long time so it's about time I gave you a shout out and see how you have been and what's going on over there in the Phillipines. Things are good here but cold. Have a beautiful Sunday - relax and have some me time. Hugs and take care, Wendy
What a difference sunshine makes... 24 little hours... SING it all day long now! But isn't it the truth!
I thought I was going to have to pack up Teddy and find a new place to move or at least visit for a while. You know, someplace warm with lots of sunshine!
I was looking for a warm beach with LOTS of sunshine. But I needed the Longhorn channel on TV because today is College BASEBALL at noon! It is just the Alumni game but I am so excited. Then in less than 2 weeks there will be 3 days of Longhorn Baseball games in DFW at Globe Life Field.
I'll leave you with Peace on the Beach this Saturday as Spring is surely on the way soon.
Good to hear from you my friend have been busy here as my status in 48 hours will change to retired!!! No I am not counting down, Be safe and warm may your days be richly blessed
What a difference the sunshine makes! As you can see the ice is beginning and I say beginning to melt as our temperature is only 35 mid morning today.
Yesterday evening and so far today have been the worst on the road in the DFW area, with most accidents, many fatalities, and most delays. People were lured into believing that the roads were clear along with many people having cabin fever! They got out and drove at high speeds and then hit patches of ice. Some drivers would come upon 18 wheelers that were stopped trying to get up a hill or over an overpass. So if your package is delayed, it might be in Dallas waiting for an airplane to take off or on a big truck still here.
Everything is in God's timing and since he skipped over me when he was giving out patience... I am having a hard time waiting for Spring and even the warmer temperatures next week. Guess I will go bake some blueberry muffins.
Oh my! I am so ready to get in the car and go somewhere. Now I can stay at home for a week, easily, unless I know I can't get out; then I get claustrophobic.
We have been at 33° for about 6 hours now and the roads are trying to clear but it is not warm enough to completely rid them of slick icy spots.
The ice may be beautiful to look at but it is so damaging to the trees and to the electric lines in our area. We are blessed to still have our electricity on.
And with all the ice melting there is no going for a stroll with a river running through the backyard and mushy ground everywhere. Maybe tomorrow I can run away!
