Today was the first day of spring but the weather sure doesn't know it as the high was in the mid 40's and sunny - nice enough - but it's going down to 29 tonite - freezing. I sure hope this is our last cold morning. I am almost ready for Summer, just 92 more days.
It may be cold here this morning but it is a beautiful day and the sun is shining. Welcome to a new season and a new week.
I want to go outside and put out hanging baskets and plant some new flowers but it doesn't take long before I am running back inside.
Meanwhile at Selma Park around the Amon G. Carter Lake, my precious Wendy, sent me a video of all the deer across from her front porch in Bowie, Texas. This is a still shot from that video.
So for now, I will have to be content looking at these flowers in front of the TV just waiting to get to go back outside.
Meanwhile the orchids, Easter cactus and anthurium, all fight for the little bit of sunshine peeking through the overcast of clouds begging for warmth to come through the window. I am waiting to see the butterflies and hummingbirds return. HAPPY first day of Spring!
