Hello friends! We watched all of our online church services and now we are watching some of the little league baseball playoffs. We ended up with 1.3" of rain from yesterday. Just perfect! One extra loud clap of thunder rattled the windows and scared Hubby and the dogs (they were all taking a nap).
Monday, tomorrow, I go for my 4 month checkup since I had the cyst removed from in front of my right ear. I will let you know how it goes. I still can't believe that after my surgery visit he said, "See you in 4 months."
It is time for our luncheon meal of the day. Today is Ribeye steak and french fries in coconut oil in the deep fryer with probably fresh spinach steamed. Come on over, but you better hurry because there won't be much left very soon!
I got a lot of my housework done and just sat down to relax and the thunderstorm came - loud claps of thunder, white out rain and lightning. The tv went out too. Honey is out in the garage sharpening the mower blades and right now I have towels in the dryer. Had to wait til today to do them cause of the power company wanting their customers not using power during peak hours. I have chicken breasts thawing and hamburger out to make sloppy joes tomorrow. Have a wonderful relaxing Sunday. Hugs Wendy
It' another beautiful day and I will soon head to my rocker on the porch with a good book and iced tea in hand. I hope you find your happy place today! Summer Love and Hugs, Nancy
Whew! Another hot one with a heat index of 109 and yesterday was 110. Went to the post Fri. nite. Not a lot of folks there - most are on vacation as our good friends too. We were home by 10pm! The power company doesn't want their customerse using ovens, washer, dryers to help keep the rates low, between the hours of 3 and 6 on the really hot days. I washed earlier and have the clothes in the dryer waiting. Hope you Saturday was jolly and that you are keeping cool. Hugs, Wendy
Just stopping by to say hello and to wish you a happy Saturday... I do hope all is well with you and your family. We are having another heat wave here in Oregon. Temps over 100 again, and it is so smokey out from the surrounding fires, makes your eyes burn. Guess that is just the wrath of mother nature. Some areas have to endure tornados, some hurricanes, some flooding, some earthquakes, and others fires. Just always seems to be something devastating somewhere. Anyway, take care of yourself, stay safe, and enjoy your weekend. hugs, debijo
Worked inside first thing this morning and then went outside. I have already sweated down twice. Don't know how Hubby does it! It is so humid and the dew point is way too high which makes it worse.
Yesterday Carly had a playdate with Bella, an Australian shepherd. They had so much fun. Bella came to meet all four of our dogs. She is probably going to stay a week in September with us.
My son just called on FaceTime and the front has made it to his house (about an hour from us) and it is pouring down rain. He said the wind started blowing and the temperature dropped about 10 degrees. I can hardly wait for it to get here. My friends in Lubbock got 2.5" last night.
I set up my new iPad about 2 weeks ago and almost have my new 24" ORANGE iMac set up the way I want it. Now I am off to find something for lunch. Don't forget to share your smile with everyone you see today.
