I don't read much anymore but I do download books from Kindle when tey are free and have the ones you sent to me there also. One day I'll start reading again, hopefully. Went to the cooking demo - se made a boc choy salad with homemade dressing. Had green onions, and chow mein nodles too. First time I've ever eaten bock coy (baby) raw. Wasn't bad. My grandfather raised it in his garden and cooked it (long type). Did this and that around the house and made myself shrimp scampi wit spaghetti as Rich went to and FRA meeting tonite and gets fed there. I'm going to jummp in the shower and do my hair as we're all going out to dinner tomorrow nite (Tursday nite group) My sister in law hadher shoulder operated on yesterday and was to come om yesterday but is stayiing anoter nite as I guess te doc didn't think she sshould be discharged. So tey won't be there. We had a little rain this morning and again this afternoon but it's still warm out. Glad your day wa a good one. Have a good nite also. hugs, Wendy

Its a sunny day here today but the wind is out of the north and is quite cold. Not much else going on. Just thought while my clothes were in the washer I would send out comments to everyone. It the first day of the new year and the first day of the month on the first week of the month. That's a lot of firsts!!! All I did today was get the menu for tonite's dinner, pork, hoppin john, green (sauteed cabbage) and scalloped potatoes. So I should be all set for the new year. What are you January 1st dinners like? I guess different parts of the country have different ideals of what the first dinner of the year should be. Going to the men's meeting at the VFW tomorrow nite - the women go to support the men and vice versa plus there is always food so I don't have to cook tomorrow and that's always a plus. I did clean out the fridge and thru most of the food in the empty acres next to us for any animals that come get it. Hope Jan. 1 was a good day for you. Sleep well tonite. Hugs, Wendy
