No, none of the hummers at my place are colorful either. i though I saw a red throat once but not sure. Had a busy day - went to the dentist only to find out it was the 28th. Not sure why I had it down for being today. I didn't have anything to eat yet and it was 2:30 so wnt to Taco Bell - haven't been there since way before the pandemic. Went to the post to wait for Richie's brother to come back from Jersey. He was bringing back subs and Jersey tomatoes - 3 big ones too - an some small gourds. Tehy still had the dirt on them so I started washing them but some are still in the sink awaiting a bath. I did a load of his whites, then took a shower so Rich ended up folding them and putting them away. I started decorating for fall and bought a new saying - Thankful - that I strung acrosss the fireplace. Have been looking for a Merry Christmas one, but even though everything was 50% off at Hobby Lobby, there was no Merry Christasmas. Have to start on the wreath I bought too but I'm not a very crafty person , so we'll see how that turns out. Need to get it done and put up on the door. have a good day at work tomorrow. Hi there. Its finally Fall and it sure feels like it here. Its 59*, cloudy with some drizzle. And tomorrow it will be back in the low 90's. Oh well, I knew it wouldn't last long. :) Hope it is cool where you live. Not much going on here. Just getting the laundry done and still have the dishes to do, but I will get them done soon. Went to Hobby Lobby today - yes I still have some money left!! lol Got some new things for Fall decorating among them a grapevine wreath and things to decorate it with. I've never had a fall wreath - can you believe that. Don't remember what I put on the door unless I just don't remember and it's still upstairs in the things that I haven't unpacked. Another senior moment. Asked honey to make his famous potatoes and hot dogs, easy for him after all the chopping - and so good, plus I didn't have anything defrosted and I didn't feel like cooking. His daughter came down with a friend and they all went out target practicing - he gave her friend an extra gun he had. I wasn't invited and he told me a while ago but only told me a moment before she came in. Getting ready to eat some popcorn and I need to fold the towels from yesterday. Guess becauce it's fall, your temps aren't cooling down any. Hugs, Wendy
Hello there. Well today is the last day of summer and boy it feels like it. Its 97* and we got storm clouds in the north coming this way. Tomorrow is only going to get up in the seventies. It was 88 here and quite warm - so I hope you are a bit cooler than you have been. I've been cleaning house and doing laundry. The towels are waiting for me in the dryer and the dog's bed coverhas finished washing. I did another load before these. Think I'll just have the left overs for dinner tonite as I'm worn out. I am so used to not having my nails done - don't know how you keep yours with all the work you do. I only get pedicures anymore and that will be only about every 3 months now that the sandle season is over. The hummer feed was full of wasps again today so sent honey out to swat them. Think most of the food has been slapped out of one and I just gave them fresh food the other day. But once the've had enough, they don't come back for a whle. Immediately after we stopped, a few hummers came to get a drink. Do have that problem Pam? If so how do you deal with it? I'll look into that link you sent abut the free books - thank you. Lol Pam, I get the free first reads too on my kindle. Have I read any? NO but like you, I can't pass up a free book. Maybe one of these days I'll get to one. Rich took me out to breakfast, but I had lunch instead as it was near noon. I never eat breakfast and don't usually eat til after 1 pm, cause I get up late, but do have a cup of coffee as soon as I get up. Only a dog in this household as Rich hates cats, that's why I had to leave mine in Jersey and she now has become my son's cat. I can't even remember how old she is anymore but when I got her she was so small she fit in the palm of my hand and I don't have real big hands! Now she's a fat happy girl, but she doesn't remember me anymore. Had luch at a diner and Rich had breakfast as it was near noon. I never eat when I get up - only coffee and only one cup tisll I feel like eating later in the day. Probably cause I take enough pills to fill me up.
