No comments yesterday - so busy. Went shopping out of state to a new grocery store for me - liked it but too far to go all the time. Did get everything on my list which was good. Then friends we always meta t the post, texted to say they were going to the Moose tonite so we met them there at 7 and didn't get home till after 1am. They have karaoke every Friday nite - none of us sing though but it was a good time . They are having 3 bands tonite for a charity for a young officer who has stage 4 cancer so all of us are going. So I'm sure it'll be another late nite for us. It's a cloudy day here and very humid - gonna get rain and another thunder storm so I'll probably end up looking like a drowned rat by the time I get inside! Have a wonderful start to the weekend. That is Mexico City, Naucalpan! My girls & DIL are there now. Their day starts in upper 50's and their highs are mid 70's. They get a daily shower; today is around 7-8 pm. And all of that is just about all year around.
I wish I had control of the rain. I've often said that a small 15 minute shower, everyday, wold be the perfect thing to have...
I've been to Mexico City, many years ago, but I didn't remember it being that way. Obviously, it's changed a lot.
Hello there my friend. I hope you are having a nice Friday afternoon. I still have some housework to get done but I decided to take a break and get on here. I hope it isn't to hot for you. Its a warm afternoon here. Already in the 90's. I'm hoping August will be cool and rainy. We had that one year, I don't remember when but August was a nice and cool month. We do need the rain though. We got a little rain around 6pm but not really enough to send your way. We also are under the norm and this didn't help much to alleviate the situation, plus it was 92 and sunny until the rain then the sun came out again. Had a full day as we left at noon to go to Va. Beach to the doc, as Rich had a f/u. Ate a late lunch of soup and salad at Outback - then about 1 1/2 hrs after we got home we wee to meet our friends for dinner - we didn't eat as we were still full from eating earlier. I did order some scallops and got 4 tiny ones on a plate - oh for goodness sake! They were overcooked too. She did take them off the check - good think as we were gonna say something. But it was good to see everyone and chat. Tomorrow will be a cooler 85 - hope you keep cool and have some fun tomorrow. Hug, Wendy
Is there any possibility that August will be cooler? We watered plants and then went to Costco, had lunch, and bought groceries. It is just stupid hot!
However, please let me explain. I am NOT in any way wishing for winter. But those of you that like it... enjoy the picture above.
Now if anybody, anywhere has seen the rain, PLEASE send it my way. We are already over 12" below normal and with these hot temperatures our grass is dying and large cracks are appearing in the yard and around the foundations. Jocobo, another nice page!
