The Bald Cypress tree in our front yard is completely iced over. We did not get any snow, just sleet and ice.
This is the beautiful Vitex tree in the backyard. It is also called a Chaste Tree and has beautiful purple flowers like a lavender plant.
Yes we have lost some limbs already and are supposed to have high winds tomorrow which means we will probably lose more.
Boo hoo! My beautiful backyard is going to need some work very soon. Feel free to let me know when you might be in the Dallas / Fort Worth area and would like to help.
Besides, you might get to have some fun like Michelle and Nicole with my 12 year old son, who will never grow up, that is behind the wheel of his car! I even got to see them (on FaceTime) spin out!
It sure looks like you got snow Pam from the pictures you shared. looks like the kids had fun on the sled behind the tuck, but did you say a 12 year old was driving? That's young even for here! We are gonna get rain tomorrow nite which is ok as it was nice here when we went out for "breakfast" at noon at Panera Bread. We always get the pick two when we go there. Rich had some gift cards so wee ended up paying less than $8 for our meals today. Then because it's Thursday, we went out with our Thursday nite group - 10 of us met at a Mexican restaurant - brought most of mine home with me. Then tomorrow we go out to the post - a friend is having a surprise birthday party for his wife - she loves scratch off tickets so we got her $15 worth of them and put them in a card for her. I'm sure her husband will buy at least one round of drinks for everyone. She is such a sweetheart and looks so much younger than her age! Hope you have a warm up tomorrow so it melts all that ice. Hugs, Wendy
Hi there. Its a snowy afternoon here. And very cold. Not a lot of snow, some drifts mainly cause of the wind but the snow is dry. I went and got the mail today and boy is that air cold. It hurt my face the little I was out in it. I think tomorrow we are supposed to finally see the sun.It will be bright with the snow on the ground. Not been doing much today. Just did the laundry and got it put away. Spent some time watching the birds outside. They have ate all the birdseed and there is a big drift outside the back door and I don't want to venture out in it to fill the bird feeder. Well take care my friend and stay warm. Cheryl
Its a snowy day here. Not alot of snow that I can tell but there are drifts. We have one right in front of our door. Its 16 here and feels like 0. So I'm not getting out. I got everything I needed at the store yesterday in case of snow. The birds have been flocking my bird feeder like crazy. I call them little pigs. Everytime I fill up the bird feeder they are out there until its all gone. Well I hope you are staying warm and cozy where ever you are. Take care my friend. Cheryl
P.S.: Unfortunately, I still have very big health problems. That's why I do not feel able to answer your comments, please excuse this. But I will change my webpage from time to time because I have stored everything for this. Thanks for your understanding !! I wish you the best health and always a happy heart! Thank you for your recovery wishes!
Guess you are back to work as it's Monday - hope your weekend was good - I know it probably wnet too fast for you. Hoeny wanted chicken noodle soupl for dinner so I have that on and I ran to DG to get my son a birthday card as it's the end of the week. He'll be 40 - geez I'm old!!! Bright sunny day here with a high of 49 but feels so much warmer. Hope your Monday at work was good. Have a nice evening. Hugs, Wendy
Hi there and good afternoon. All is well here at my house. My husband is back at work and feeling just fine. I have had no symptoms at all and I hope it stays that way. Keep me in your prayers. We have a chance for snow starting tomorrow night and into Wednesday and maybe Thursday. Not looking forward to that or the cold weather. But we do need the moisture so hopefully it will be some wet snow. I hope everyone is doing well and your weather is to your liking. Take care and talk to you again soon. Cheryl
Hi Pam: gotta admit the weather is very strange this winter - 70 down to 28 is a big drop. Hope all your plants keep warm. Nothing much changed here. Same old, same old! Stay safe and stay warm.
Happy Monday coffee time. It has been steadily raining ever since I woke up....not heavy rain but constant and no sunshine. Enjoy your Monday and stay out of cold weather. Hugs, Nancy
Nails look good Pam - wish I could grow mine so I could have them done or at least put fake ones on. Watched football this afternoon - Bengals won - sorry for Andy Reid and now watching the Rams and San Fran. Hope San Fran wins as I don't like the Rams. I cleaned a couple of drawers out in the kitchen - hadn't been done as long as I've been here. A bunch of uselss stuff in them but organized (his wife wa collector of 'stuff' - did throw some things out and cleaned them all up. Did other things around the kitchen and sprayed the tub - letting that soak (somethng I never use except to soak jeans. I only clean that tub once every 6 months or so - I hate it. Enjoy this last evening you have before going back to work tomorrow. Have a good nite and keep warm!! Hugs, Wendy
